KEY HIGHLIGHTS OF THE ADMINISTRATION
DATE: 15/07/2023.

1. There will be system of a team of Nursing Unit-In-charges for General ward,


Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Neo-natal intensive care unit (NICU), Operation Theatre
Nursing Unit and Emergency Medicine unit.
2. The Unit-In-Charges shall report to the Nursing Superintendent in their functional and
administrative capacities.
3. The Unit in-charges shall be responsible and accountable for the formulation of the
duty roaster, Leave management of the staff, Weekly off rotation of the staff, duty
allocation etc.
Any change in the duty allotment or weekly off or request for leave shall be brought
to the notice of the Unit-in-charges by the Staff Nurses and the Unit-In-charge will
approve the same in her professional capacity and manage the duty roaster. However,
the formal intimation of such leave and duty allotment change and weekly off change
shall be given to the Nursing Superintendent by the Unit-In-Charges.
4. Staff Nurses and Intern Nurses will not by-pass their In-charges and make direct
contact with Nursing Superintendent unless they are dissatisfied with the resolution
offered to them by the Unit-in-charges in response to their grievances or concerns.
5. Even when the Nursing Superintendent entertains the staff nurses and the Intern
nurses with their concerns not satisfactorily resolved by the Unit-in-charges then she
will handle it in the presence of the Unit-in-charges only.
6. There will be an attendance register kept in the NS office which has to be mandatorily
signed by the Nurses on duty. By any chance the Nurse on duty does not sign the
attendance register for reason whatsoever then the HR Department shall mark the
employee absent and will demand an explanation in writing from the nurse at fault
before regularising the attendance of the nurse on duty.
7. All the Nurses are advised to update the attendance register on a daily basis with the
status of their leave and weekly off in case of the planned ones to avoid any confusion
arising on their attendance status remaining blank on the day of their weekly off and
leave.
