Commentator:
Good afternoon, dear brothers and sisters in Christ.
This is the day the Lord has made, we rejoice and are glad!
For us graduates, this is a gracious time and we are grateful to God for the gift of graduation
day, and so we have gathered together to celebrate God’s goodness and to proclaim His faithful
love for us all.
We thank our Lord for all the special people who have stood by us and have supported us all
the way and have encouraged, challenged and guided us to become the best we could ever be.
Our dear parents, administrators, teachers, schoolmates and friends will be remembered and
treasured in our hearts. Since we raised them up to God for Him to bless in His providence, we
also pray for ourselves, young graduates. As we praise God, we beg Him to give us the courage
to face the challenges and trials we encounter in our lives.
In grateful love and joyful celebration, we offer this Eucharistic celebration to be presided over
by our beloved celebrant _____________________________________.
ENTRANCE HYMN.
GREETINGS.
Celebrant: In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
All: Amen.
Celebrant: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the
Holy Spirit be with you all.
All: And with your spirit.
PENITENTIAL ACT
Celebrant: As we prepare to celebrate the mystery of Christ's love, let us acknowledge our
failures and ask the Lord for pardon and strength.
All: I confess to almighty God and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I have greatly sinned, in
my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done and in what I have failed to do, (striking your
breast 3 times, say): through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault;
therefore, I ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin, all the Angels and Saints, and you, my brothers and
sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our God.
Celebrant: May the Almighty God have mercy on us forgive us our sins and bring us to
everlasting life.
All: Amen.
LORD HAVE MERCY
Lord, have mercy. Christ, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy. Lord, have mercy.
Christ, have mercy. Lord, have mercy.
OPENING PRAYER
Celebrant: Let us pray
All: Amen.
Commentator: Please be seated as we listen to the word of God.
GOSPEL
Celebrant: The Lord be with you.
All: And with your spirit.
Celebrant: A reading from the Holy Gospel according to All: Glory to you, Oh Lord.
(After the reading)
Celebrant: The Gospel öf the Lord.
All: Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
Commentator: Please be seated for the Homily.
HOMILY
(After the Homily) Commentator: Please rise for the profession of Faith.
All: I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible
and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the
Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not
made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our
salvation he came down from heaven, (bow for the completion of this sentence) and by the Holy
Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under
Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance
with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He
will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I
believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness
of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.
Amen.
Celebrant: We can never doubt the greatness of God's love. He is the source and origin of all
beautiful things in our lives. In gratitude for the Father's many gifts let us express our prayers
and petitions to Him and say, Lord we place all our trust in you.
All: Lord we place all our trust in you.
Grade 10 student: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, let your whole church and all of us who are
gathered here, become a living sign to His world of your own community of love. We pray:
All: Lord we place all our trust in you.

great light shining in the darkness, that they may be committed to build a better world, a world of
truth, justice, love and peace. We pray:
All: Lord we place all our trust in you.
Grade 10 student: Lord, bless our parents, that they may be faithful and loving to one another,
as You are faithful and tender to them, and that they may reflect Your own love in their children.
