Golden International School is a successfully growing, full program of pre-school, primary and
secondary education, with main focus on a stress-free, happy learning environment in which

The Golden International School was established in 2022, by Adv. D. S. Gladson to build on the
pioneering efforts of the first Golden International Chain of Schools established in Kanyakumari
District. We strive to utilize the innovative methods and standards to achieve excellence. The
founder is an eminent and successful Business tycoon and philanthropist with over 20 years of
experience and excellence in his endeavors.

RULES AND REGULATIONS


DISCIPLINE CODE FOR STUDENTS

1. The school hours are from 9.00 A.M to 3.30 P.M. All the students should arrive at school
before 9.00 A.M.
2. Strict silence should be observed by students within the school building as well as in the
school ground immediately after the first warming bell for the assembly. The children
will have to file up in the ground in silence.
3. Every morning before the assembly, there is silent study in the class room. Students
should not be found taking, playing or loitering within the campus during these hours.
4. While moving along the corridors and changing classrooms between slots it must be done
in silence and in order. Running and shouting is not allowed within the school building.
5. To exempt a pupil from drill or games, a doctor’s certificate must be produced to the
effect that he is or she is physically unfit.
6. No pupil allowed to go home during class hours, unless and authorized person comes to
pick him up with a letter from the parents.
7. Children who go home from school with their parents/ guardians or servants after the
school, should never leave the school campus before they arrive. In case of a delay, they
should report the matter to the school office.
8. The students should behave in positive manner both within and outside the campus. They
should always remember that the school is judged by their contact.
9. Any kind of damage done to school property must be paid for . Any students found guilty
of writing or drawing on the walls or furniture will be fined.
10. Students should greet their teachers whenever and wherever they meet them.
11. Students should not use nick – names to call fellow students.
12. Not to indulge in teasing or bullying the fellow students.
13. Students must converse only in English within the school campus.
14. No books other than school books may be brought without the permission of the
principal.
15. All home work should be done neatly and the day’s work should always be dated.
16. Immoral behavior, habitual contempt shown to the authorities, repeated dishonesty or any
behavior which will lower the moral tone of the school is sufficient reasons for the
students to be dismissed from school.
17. Be respectful and talk politely to teachers, visitors and others.
18. Never bring valuable articles, mobile phone, gadgets, jewelry, or cash to the school.
19. Help in keeping your classroom and school campus neat and clean.
20. Bring school diary regularly. Students should follow the class rules. No students should
tear any page from the diary or from the any notebook or textbook.
21. Take parting all the activities of the House that you represent.
22. Attendance in all examination is compulsory.
23. If you are a user of internet based social/community media or social its working sites
posting any objectionable comments/photos/videos of the fellow students, teachers or
other school staff members will be punished able

DRESS CODE FOR STUDENTS:


1. Students should turn up in full uniform.
2. Always wear clean dress and well-polished shoes.
3. Students should not wear gold ornaments to the school except earrings/stats for girls.
4. The school is not responsible for the loss of any ornaments worn by the students.
5. Girls should use yellow bow and yellow hair band; however, wearing flowers of any kind
is not appreciated.

COMMUNICATING BY BUS:
1. Not to eat or drink in the school bus. Enter and leave the bus in single line, with young
children going first.
2. Remain quietly and safely seated at the allotted places while travelling until the bus
arrives at its destination.

TAKING LEAVE:
 Leave application should be submitted in advance except in an emergency situation.
 Leave application signed by other parents/ authorized guardians will not be accepted.
 Leave letter has to be written as per the school leave application format given in the
diary.
 Catching up the words which has been missed due to the absence in the class in the
responsibility of the student.

TO THE PARENTS
About School Diary

Your child’s School Diary in an important publication of the school which outlines the school’s
philosophy and work culture. It serves as a means of communication and interaction between
parents and teachers. Therefore, the effective use of the diary lies in the participation and co-
operation of the parents on a daily basis. And thus, we together shall make them as children of
light.

What parents can do?

 Please read the contents of the diary carefully.


 Please check the diary from time to time in order to monitor the performance of your
child and contribute in our efforts to achieve the set goals and objectives.
 No students is permitted to drive auto, two wheelers or a four wheeled vehicle to school
or to any school activity.
 Parents/ Visitors are not permitted to meet children during school hours.
 Children will not be handed over to any one without the authorization letter of parents.
 Ensure that the diary is carried by your child to the school every day.
 Check the diary for any entries from the school, also use the diary for communicating
with the school.
 Sign all the notes sent by the school regularly.
 Become acquainted with your child’s teachers and try to build a positive collaboration
with them, so as to ensure the best possible education for your child.
 Respect your child as an individual and avoid making comparisons with other children.
 Monitor what your child watches on Internet/ TV and videos on mobile phones.
 Speak affectionately and politely to your child and be your child’s best friend.
 Parents are requested to attend the PTA meetings.
 Parents need to come to school to sign the progress report of the UT/ Term Examination.

SCHOOL TRANSPORT:
 Please take the correct schedule of bus timings of nearby stop from the Transport-in-
charge of the school if bus facility is availed.
 If any alternate arrangements for your child’s commuting has been made, please write it
to the school Transport-in-charge.
 School bus service will be available only in some selected routes and cannot take
diversion at the request of the parents.
 In case of small children, the child will be taken back to the school if there is no one to
pick him/her up at the stop.
 If your child doesn’t reach back at the scheduled timing, please contact the school
reception at 04651-218484.
 School bus fee has to be deposited in the school office by cash during the first 5 days of
every month.
 Even in circumstances when the student is not able to make use of the bus service for a
part of a month, the bus fee will be collected in full.
 Bus fee once paid not refundable, adjustable or transferable.
 Parents are advised not to tip the bus driver/ayah for the purpose of getting any personal
work done at the school.

PARENT TEACHERS MEETING (PTM):


 Parents are required to attend PTM periodically as per schedules intimated from the
school administration.
 Always try to reach for the meeting well in the time.
 If a parent wishes to discuss the progress of his/her ward on any other day, he/she may do
so, by fixing prior appointment from the school administration.
 Staff members are to be contacted regarding the school matters at the school.
 Check your child’s progress during the allotted time.
