Half Adder N Full Adder

The document discusses half adders and full adders used in binary addition circuits. A half adder is used to add two input bits A and B and produces a SUM and CARRY output. A full adder accepts three inputs, A, B, and a CARRY input, and produces a SUM and CARRY output based on Boolean logic equations. The document includes logic symbols and truth tables for half adders and full adders. It also shows circuit diagrams for implementing half adders and full adders using logic gates.

Full Adder: Full adder is a logic/digital circuit capable of adding three bits at a time
resulting in aSUM and a CARRY outputs. If A, B, Care the inputs, Boolean equation for the
SUM output is ABOC and that of the CARRY output is AB+BC+CA.
Aand Bare the bits corresponding to a column in binary addition whereas the input C is
generally the CARRY from other column. Therefore, Cinput is generally labeled as Cin (ie.,
carry input).
