1.What is the IMO?
IMO is specialized agency of the United Nations.Its responsible for
regulating shipping for the safety and security of shipping and
prevention of marine and pollution of atmosphere. The IMO was
established in 1948 and meeting for the first time in 1959.Lacation is in
London and member countries were 175.

3. what is convention?
Convention is a written agreement with several parts.
Four pillars of IMO are
SOLAS (Safety of life at sea)
STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and watchkeeping for
seafarers)
MARPOL (Prevention of pollution from ships)
MLC (Maritime Labor convention)

4.What is the Protocol?


Supplement or add to a pre-existing law.

5.What is the Amendment?

Amendment to the IMO convention must be adopted by two-third vote
of the assembly and enter into force 12 months after acceptance by
two-thirds of member states.

5.What is the resolution?


Maritime resolution are issued by the Assembly,the council and by
each of the committee. Each committee brings resolutions to amend
part of international convention.

6.What is the Code?


In maritime law , showed and published the detail of agreement.

7.What is guideline?
After published the convention , it showed and published procedure
detail to follow the law.

8.What is the adoption and enforce?


Adoption is including of initial date , and not permanent in force.

Enforce include the permanent date
The enforcement of IMO conventions depend upon the Government of
member parties, and sum of all register ship tonnage .
