If you need to record during power interruption, you need to connect NAS-AC-adapter to a UPS.
You need at least V1.30.00 of (S)VDR – firmware in order to use Extended External Backup.
5.2 Configuration

NAS. This is done in the Nodes section in (S)VDR – Webconfigurator.
You must click on Edit and select Enable extended external backup and Submit the changes.
Within a few minutes, you can see that the NAS is discovered by the (S)VDR and start to record
data to it.
When free space of NAS is used by data-files, the oldest data-file is overwritten.
7 Playback of NAS-files
In order to play-back data recorded on the NAS, you need at least V1.12
In order to do Playback of the recorded data on the NAS-device, you need to disconnect the NAS
from the (S)VDR and connect the NAS to your PC on an ethernet port, that is setup for 10.xx.xx.xx
subnetmask 255.0.0.0.
The ip-address of the PC must be something else than 10.0.0.200 (this is the ip-address of the
NAS).
Start VdrExplorer and select VDR Extraction and click on Browse. This brings up a File Open
Dialog box.
\\10.0.0.200\vdr\data <cr>
Click on a file to select it and then click on Open-button to open the file for play-back.
You can now click on Analyze-button to analyze file for number of tracks.
