    OVERALL CHAMPION IN SINULOG FESTIVAL 2023

    I. RATIONALE

    The Omega de Salonera is a multi-talented group composed of


    dancers, musicians and athletes from Sitio Kapihan, Barangay Sering,
    Municipality of Socorro, the official contingent from the Province of
    Surigao del Norte to the Sinulog Festival recently happened on January 15,
    2023.

    The troupe bagged at least three major awards in the Sinulog


    Festival 2023, including the coveted overall champion title of the Ritual
    Showdown in the Free Interpretation category in which they received P1
    million in cash prize.

    They were also topped as champion in the Street Dance competition,


    which entitles them to receive another P1 million worth of cash prize. Omega
    de Salonera also won awards for Best in Costume and Best in Musicality.

    In recognition of such achievement, the Provincial Government of


    Surigao del Norte through the Provincial Governor extends cash award
    amounting to one million pesos (1,0000,000.00) to OMEGA DE
    SALONERA.

    The participation of and winning of Omega de Salonera contingent in


    the Sinulog festival does not only foster the preservation and promotion of
    our cultural heritage but also brings honor and prestige to our Beloved
    Province, the only contingent from Mindanao.
    II. ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

    To give appreciation for promotion of the cultural heritage of the


    province and for showcasing theatrical, intense, musical and visual treat to
    everyone in Sinulog 2023.

    1. The group would receive cash award/ incentives amounting to one


    million pesos (1,000,000.00) net of final tax.
