BLUE BERRY PROJECT

1. Subsidy Structure:
a. Land Acquisition, Plantation: NHM

Rs 100 lakh/unit and in case of
private sector, credit linked

ii)Small Nursery (1 ha) Rs. 15.00 lakh/ha 100% to public sector and in
case of private sector, credit
linked back-ended subsidy of
cost, subject to a maximum of

will produce a minimum of
25,000 numbers of mandated

1) Development of commercial horticulture

f. Solar Plant subsidy for Captive Plant: (Technology induction in cold chain, add-on for
a CA and modernization) Admissible cost for solar PV panels/ solar thermal system is
100% of cost as per invoice, maximum of Rs. 35 lakhs/project. Maximum permissible
subsidy shall be subject to original invoices and in no case more than Rs.750 lakhs,
whichever is lower. For add on technology, credit linked back ended subsidy shall be
provided @35/50% of admissible cost.
2. Import Duty Structure
a. Import duty on Blue-Berry Tissue: import duty on fruits under HS code 08104000
(cranberries, bilberries and other fruits of genus vaccinium) is 30%.

b. Import duty on Irrigation + Fertilizer + Pesticides machinery, greenhouse machinery:
The import duty on irrigation equipment for agriculture and horticulture under HS code
84248100 is 7.73%, that on fertilizers is from 5-7.5%, and that on pesticides is 29.8%

c. Import duty on Laboratory equipment: import duty on lab equipment under HS code
90279090 is 25.85%, under HS codes 84198990 and 84799090 is 18.80%.

3. Duty-draw back
a. On export of Blue-Berry: the duty drawback on export of fruits under HS code 08104000
(cranberries, bilberries and other fruits of genus vaccinium) is 1.00%.

4. Loan Availability
a. Loan Assistance at Regular Rate or It may be available at concessional rate from
NABARD / SIDBI etc: the loan assistance is to be availed at regular rate.
