Judicial Notifications
In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 122 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 (Central Act V of 1908)
and all other powers hereunto enabling and with the previous approval of the Government of Tamil Nadu, the High
Court of Madras hereby makes the following amendments to Rules of the High Court, Madras, Appellate Side, 1965.
Amendments
In the said Rules,-
(1) in Order I, -
(a) rule 1-A shall be omitted;
(b) sub-rule (4) of rule 2 shall be omitted; and
(2) in Order IV, rule 2 shall be renumbered as sub-rule (1) of rule 2 and after as so renumbered, the following sub-rules shall
be added, namely:-
“(2) All Memoranda of Appeal, affidavits, petitions and other pleadings as well as typed set of papers, including Vakalat
namas should be typed, written or printed on both sides of substantially white A4 size paper of not less than 75 GSM, or any other
quality, as may be prescribed, from time to time. Loose sheets shall be stitched as a paper book.
(3) All pleadings presented to the High Court shall be either printed or typewritten with following Margins:
From the top 2.5 cm
From the bottom 2.5 cm
From the left 3 cm
From the right 2.5 cm.’’
