I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards: The learners demonstrate understanding of the structure of an atom and the formula and
the name of compounds.

A. Performance Standards: The learners shall be able to


1. Describe the structure of an atom of an element.
2. Recognize and differentiate atoms, molecules, and ions; and
3. Write the formula and give the name of simple compounds.

B. Learning Competencies/ Learning Competency


Objectives: Write the LC  Name compounds given their formula and write formula given the
code for each. At the end name of the compound (STEM_GC11AM-Ic-e-23)
of the period, at least 75%  Practice chemical nomenclature: writing the chemical formulas of
of the students will be able ionic compounds; naming ionic compounds from formulas
to: (STEM_GC11AM-Ic-e-24)
