Interviewer: Good morning, please have a seat. Can you please introduce yourself?

Candidate: Good morning sir, my name is Ali and I am from Lahore. I have completed my Bachelor's
degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore.

Interviewer: That's great. Why do you want to join the armed forces?

Candidate: Sir, I have always been interested in serving my country and I believe that joining the armed
forces is the best way to do so. Moreover, the discipline, leadership skills, and sense of responsibility
that I will gain from the armed forces will be beneficial for me in my personal and professional life.

Interviewer: That's a great motivation. Can you tell me about your hobbies and interests?

Candidate: Yes sir, I like to read books on history and politics. I also enjoy playing cricket and have
represented my university team in various tournaments.

Interviewer: That's impressive. Can you tell me about a challenging situation that you have faced in your
life and how you overcame it?

Candidate: Sir, during my final year project at university, we faced a major setback when our project was
not approved by the supervisor. However, we did not lose hope and worked hard to improve our
project. We consulted our seniors and made significant changes to our project. Eventually, our project
was approved and we received an A grade.

Interviewer: That shows resilience and determination. Can you tell me about a time when you had to
work in a team?

Candidate: Yes sir, during my internship, I was assigned to work on a project with three other interns.
We had to design a machine for a local factory. We divided the work among ourselves and worked
collaboratively to complete the project within the deadline.

Interviewer: Great teamwork skills. Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
Candidate: Sir, my strengths include my ability to work under pressure and my strong communication
skills. However, I sometimes struggle with time management and tend to procrastinate.

Interviewer: Thank you for your honest response. Do you have any questions for me?

Candidate: Yes sir, can you please tell me about the training process for the ISSB long course?

Interviewer: Sure, the training process involves both physical and mental training. You will undergo
rigorous physical training to improve your fitness and stamina. You will also receive leadership training
to develop your leadership skills. Additionally, you will receive weapons training and tactical training to
prepare you for combat situations.

Candidate: Thank you sir for the information.

Interviewer: You're welcome. Thank you for coming in today. We will let you know about the results of
your interview in due course.

Interviewer: That's great. Can you tell me about your hobbies and interests?

Candidate: Yes, I enjoy playing basketball and have represented my university team in several
tournaments. I also enjoy reading books on international relations and foreign policy.

Interviewer: That's impressive. Moving on, why do you want to join the Pakistan Army?

Candidate: I have always been passionate about serving my country and making a positive impact on
society. I believe that joining the Pakistan Army will allow me to fulfill this passion and contribute
towards the defense and security of our nation.

Interviewer: That's a noble goal. Can you tell me about a time when you demonstrated teamwork skills?

Candidate: Sure. During my final year at university, I was part of a team that organized a fundraising
event for a local charity. Each member of the team had different responsibilities, and we had to work
together to ensure that everything was organized and executed properly. We were able to raise a
significant amount of money for the charity, and I was praised for my teamwork skills.

Interviewer: Great teamwork skills! Can you tell me about a time when you faced a challenge and how
you overcame it?

Candidate: During my internship at a diplomatic mission, I was tasked with organizing an event for
foreign diplomats. However, I encountered several challenges such as language barriers and cultural
differences. I consulted with my supervisor and other colleagues in the mission, and we worked together
to overcome these challenges by finding creative solutions.
Interviewer: Excellent problem-solving skills! Finally, can you tell me about your strengths and
weaknesses?

Candidate: My strengths include my ability to work well under pressure, my strong communication skills,
and my attention to detail. As for my weaknesses, I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist, which sometimes
causes me to spend too much time on tasks that could be completed more efficiently.
