Good evening everyone!

With great honor and pleasure, I welcome you all to this auspicious occasion of
our School’s 1st Grand Almumni Homecoming. To our Guest of honor and speaker, Honorable Haidee S.
Pacheco, our crowning guest none other than our industrious and handsome municipal mayor
Honorable Modesto M. Operania,our Inducting guest, Honorable Alexis G. Dela Vega, friends, visitors, a
pleasant evening to one and all.

Today is a special day and I feel proud and immensely thankful to be able to witnessed this celebration. I
want to welcome the alumni of this school who took time out of their busy schedules to be with us here
today and who have excelled in the respective fields of their careers.

This day is very important, it provides an opportunity for everyone to meet each other after so many
years. It also provides a chance for every graduate from the previous years to meet their former teachers
and other staff members. It also helps the alumni to notice the various changes through which the
school has gone through over the past few years.   I thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule
to attend this event but I can assure you one thing that at the end of the night you will go home with
memories that you would cherish forever. 

Kindly allow me to offer my thanks towards each, and everybody of you present here for saving at some
point to be with us all this evening. We realize that it takes a great deal to remove some time from your
bustling timetable and come over. In any case, I trust that the encounters of tonight which you will bring
home will merit the time all of you have saved.

School plays a crucial role in any person’s life. It provides us not only the knowledge of required subjects
but also the basic learnings and values of life. It prepares us to face the challenges of life and helps in
building the basic character of a person. A student is like a raw seed who is nurtured and watered by the
teachers in the hope that one day this seed will bloom into a beautiful tree. They also teach us that the
bigger a tree grows the deeper the roots belong. And I am fortunate enough because we are all gathered
tonight.

The relationship between a teacher and student is like clay and potter. Potter may be hard on clay from
the outside but on the other hand, he provides support and molds it into a beautiful artwork. The
perfect examples of it are our alumni present over here who are doing great in their lives and thus
making our school and teachers prouder.

Welcoming our alumni here is bringing a sea of emotions. I am sure you are already feeling the nostalgia.
Everyone remembers his first and last day of school and I am sure most of us cry on both days. We leave
the school but the school never goes out of us.

At last, I hope that this event brings you joy and reminisces about all your golden memories. Wish you all
a wonderful evening. Have a good time ahead!
