1. Tell that there are types of nouns two of which are countable and uncountable
2. Defined the countable nouns and uncountable nouns
3. State that countable nouns can be counted
4. State that uncountable nouns can’t be counted

A. Topic: Countable and Uncountable Nouns

C. English Concepts:
1. Nouns are subjects or anything that can be counted and can’t be counted
2. Countable nouns are nouns that can be counted for example apples, cars, eggs
3. Uncountable nouns are nouns that can’t be counted the examples are milk, water,
sand
D. English Processes: observing, listening, identifying, critical thinking
E. Materials: real objects
III. Procedure
A. Preparatory Activity
1. Review of Prior Learning/Past Lesson
B. Lesson Proper
1. Motivation
1.1. Group the students in to two and let them collect all the nouns that they see in
the classroom
1.2. Ask the students to report and explain their collection
2. Pre-test Activities
2.1 Present all the materials needed
2.2 Distribute the activity sheets to each group.
3. Activity Proper
3.1. Using the activity as a guide, each group work cooperatively
3.2. Activity 1: Noun: Countable noun or Uncountable Noun?
3.3. Each group answering the activity and reporting.

4. Post-test Activity
4.1. After the report, display the work in front of the classroom
4.2. Analyze with the whole class each group result
4.3. Make agreements on the result, that lead to conceptualization

5.1. Throw the following questions of the class to elicit their formed concepts.
A. What is a Noun?
(A noun is a word that generally functions as the name of a specific object or
set of objects, such as living creatures, places, actions, qualities, states of
existence, or ideas.)
B. What are two types of nouns we discussed today?
(Countable Noun and Uncountable Noun)
C. Give examples of countable nouns
(dog, cat, animal, person)
D. Give examples of uncountable nouns
(tea, sugar, salt, water, air)

Mastery learning approaches aim to ensure that all students have mastered key concepts before moving
on to the next topic – in contrast with traditional teaching methods in which students may be left
behind, with gaps of misunderstanding widening.

4. If all the stakeholders contribute positively in the curriculum implementation, do you think curriculum
change or development will succeed? Why? Or why not?

Yes, curriculum development will succeed if all the stakeholders contribute positively in curriculum
implementation. These stakeholders include teachers, parents, students, government representatives,
civil society organizations, among others. Their inputs and recommendations will strengthen ownership
of the curriculum, incorporating valuable real-life concerns and applicability.
