Assignment 1
Deadline: 2nd Feb. 2022
50 points
Question 1:
Determine the type of following amplifier. Draw small signal model. Also determine gain (Av) of
this amplifier. Take λ = 0.1 /V, gm1= 12.14 mS, (W/L)1=20/0.18 , (W/L)2=40/0.14. (W/L)1=50.

Question 2:
Find the gain Vo/Vi. Show steps of your work.
Question 3:
Determine the gain of the following circuit:

Question 4:
All the transistors have W/L = 12/0.5 in the figure below and you can assume biasing current, I = 100 uA.
What is the gain of the stage?
Question 5:
Consider the amplifier circuit shown in Figure. The transistor is specified to have Vt=0.4 V, Kn’=0.4 mA/V2
, W/L = 10, and lambda=0. Also, let VDD=1.8V, RD =17.5kohms , and VGS=0.6 V. For vGS = 0V, vDS=0V, Find
VOV , ID , VDS and Av.
