Reading

Part one: Reading Comprehension.

Hi my name is Steve. I'm having a busy day today, because I'm doing a lot of
house chores. Luckily everyone in the house is doing the same and not just me! First, I
woke up and made my bed, it's always nice to start the day with a tidy room. Then, I
headed to the kitchen to help with breakfast. I set the table, poured cereal into bowls,
and even made some toast. After breakfast, I had to help my mum with the dishes. I
washed the plates, cups, and bowls, I was faster than her. Next, it was time to clean my
room. I picked up my toys, folded my clothes, and put everything back to its place, even
the heaviest ones! When I finished, my room looked fantastic! In the afternoon, I
grabbed the broom and swept the floor. I made sure the floor was nice and clean.
Finally, I finished all my work with dusting the windows around the house and right
now I'm laying in my bed and reading my favourite comic book. Chores may not always
be the most fun, but they help keep our home clean and organised. Also, I know that by
helping out, I'm making life easier for everyone in my family. I'm ready for a good
night's sleep, knowing I did my part today.
