1) When a current I in a circular loop of radius R increases, the area of the loop increases. According to Lenz's law, this will induce a current in the downward direction in the loop to oppose the increasing magnetic flux. 2) If a rod of a coil is moved outwards, the magnetic flux through the coil increases. By Lenz's law, an induced current will flow in the coil in the direction opposing the increasing flux, causing the rod to move back inwards. 3) When a straight conductor of length L moves with a velocity v perpendicular to a uniform magnetic field B, an emf is induced given by BLv.
