The cables are suitable for use where the combination ambient temperature and temperature rise
due to load results in a conductor temperature not exceeding 70°C and case of a short-circuit
(maximum allowance time is 5 seconds) the maximum conductor temperature does not exceed
160°C, up to and including 300 mm2. and 140°C for sizes above 300 mm2.

Notes:
1. The factors in the table are applicable to groups of cables all of one size. The value of
current derived from application of the appropriate factors is the maximum continuous
current to be carried by any of the cables in the group.
2. If, due to known operating conditions, a cable is expected to carry not more than 30% of
