Five Years To Freedom is unique in that it uses a technique called
“accelerated learning”. This technique is based on the most advanced,
experiential teaching methods available today. It allows people to learn
faster, remember more and even have more fun! (Which again increases
learning speed and retention.)
These simple but powerful techniques include the use of subconscious

cues, frequency, repetition and involvement.
There’s a wonderful Native American proverb that states:
“What I hear, I tend to forget.

What I see, I tend to remember.
What I do, I understand.”
In short, the more you do or participate, the more and faster you learn.
So how is this going to look?
Here are some examples:
1. I might complete a very obvious statement with phrasing such as: yes
or yes? Or good or good? Or true or true?

Notice both choices are positive. These are called “re-enforcers”, as they
solidify the statement.

2. You’ll notice I’ll often frame sentences in the form of questions.

Why? Because questions hook the mind and keep you involved.

3. I will ask you to fill in blanks. These will be fairly obvious and
the goal is to keep you involved and engrain the concept we are
teaching with repetition.
Example: So what does filling in the blanks do?
It keeps you ________________ and engrained the concept we are teaching.
If you have a challenge filling in the blanks just look back. That’s fine
because in the end, it will force you to re-read that part and that’s just
another form of repetition.
Does that make sense?
4. You will notice that after you fill in the blanks I will say thank
you or good job or well done or something of that nature. Why? To
acknowledge you for answering the question. This acknowledgment
subconsciously acts as a mini reward so that your mind wants to do
more of it. In life we tend to do more of what we get rewarded for.

IMPORTANT:
You will notice that many of the accelerated learning elements are italicized
and in a different color. Let’s face it, as helpful as this technique might be,
some readers may just not be into it and choose to not fully participate.
That’s okay. If it’s not for you, just skip those parts and read on. We don’t

I will say, however, that in my experience, once you get used to participating,
it’s quite fun and you will find yourself more focused, attentive and learning
at a much deeper level.
