Requirements
Officer 1 or above
Written recommendation from a SGT or higher
NO major disciplinary actions
NO Attendance marks in past 30 days
If you pass all the requirements above you may fill out an application. (Applicants
who do not meet the requirements will be immediately denied)
After you fill out an application it will be reviewed by the Commander of the SWAT
Unit and the team leaders.
*note* Just filling out the application does not grant you a spot in the unit*
Next is field training. During field training you will go over classroom training on
situations and protocols. After the classroom portion you will begin training with
other applicants while the Commander and Team Leaders watch to make sure
everyone is safe. You have the right to drop out of training at any time, please note
that if you drop out of training you must wait 30 days to reapply. At any point in
time during training if you fail to abide to orders by team leaders and command
you can be dropped from training. Displaying multiple signs of negliegence may
also get you dropped from training. Failure to be professional and respectful will
get you dropped from training.
Last step is the exam. After field training has conducted you will be given an exam.
You get 1 chance to pass the test with a 90% or higher. If you fail you must wait 24
hours before you may attempt to take it again. If you fail the second time you will
stay a SWAT Cadet and have to wait until the next training to occur before
retesting. On the Second round of training you are only given one
chance to pass the test with 90% or higher. If you fail you will have to wait and
reapply in 30 days. Upon passing the test you will be drafted to a team with full
status as a LSPD SWAT Officer.

VIII. Qualifications
Each SWAT officer will be allowed to qualifications within the unit. Each
qualification has its own unique training and usage in the field. Upon passing
training you must pick one of the three qualifications, you are able to get a second
qualification.
Sniper - The role of the sniper is give the team overwatch and takeout threats from
a distance with accuracy. Snipers will be in sharp shooting with both weapon
platforms, getting into efficient overwatch positions, and shooting from a
helicopter.
Team Medic - While each SWAT officer will be trained and given the tools to aid
them selves, the team medic will be there when more aid is needed. The team
medic will carry more supplies and be better equipped than the standard SWAT
officer in handling medical emergencies with team members, victims, or
suspects. The main responsibility of the team medic is to provide lifesaving aid
until fire/ems personnel are able to give aid and transport to a trauma location or
hospital via ambulance or medevac.
E.O.D. Technician - The main role of the E.O.D. Technician is to handle any explosive
threat. They will be trained in identifying the type of trigger used to and the type of
explosive material used. With help from the rest of the SWAT team they will
shutdown access to the area so they can either diffuse or control detonate the
explosive device with no risk to public injury or major damage to the surrounding
areas.
