Kuwait College of Science and Technology is fully licensed by the nation’s Ministry of Higher

Education/Private Universities Council and started its operation in 2016 offering degrees in Computer
Science, Computer Engineering and Electronics and Communications Engineering. In 2022, the student
population exceeded 1600, and the first cohort of engineers has graduated. The University has an
outstandingly high research output in the context of the private universities in the Region.

One of the cornerstones of the University’s strategy is “Engineering with Leadership”, which means
that the University aims to produce engineering graduates who are aware and conversant with
management theory and techniques. Thus, its current engineering curricula already contain significant
portions of economics, management, and entrepreneurship. In the near future, a new Faculty of
Business Management will be launched.

The Department of Student Affairs & Registration is recruiting ambitious and passionate graduates or
diploma holders with a good track record.

Job Vacancy Administration Assistant


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Exams:
o Assist in preparing & publishing exams schedules (original exams, make-up exams,
invigilation distribution and student distribution).
o Assist in coordination with all departments concerned with the examination period to
facilitate the examination process (maintenance staff, IT, security, cleaning
department, etc. and all issues related to classroom management).
o Assist in following up with the concerned departments to print the exams papers.
o Assist in providing logistic support to the faculty members before and during exams.
o Assist in coordinating the process of classifying filing and archiving the exam papers
with the filing assistant.
o Assist in documenting all exams’ procedures in the proper dossiers and keep them
updated.
o Assist in coordinating with the student counsellor regarding the makeup exams
process, and the students with special needs and/or medical conditions.
o Assist in preparing the overall report to discuss the examination weakness and
strength at the end of each examination period (mid-term and final exam) with exams
team.
o Assist in coordinating the process of dealing with the exam issues and problems.
o Assist in following up with the counselor about misconduct reports.
o Assist in the follow up of the programming plan of the exams.
o Assist in supervising the entrance exams sessions for the new applicants in KCST, in
coordination with the admission officer.
2. Department Budget:
o Assist in requesting the department requirements.
3. Academic Calendar:
o Assist in preparing the Academic Calendar.
o Assist in publishing the calendar on (SIS, portal, outlook, and website).
General:
➢ Assist in all the tasks during admission, registration, graduation, archiving, etc.
➢ Any other tasks assigned by line manager.
➢ Maintain high standards of service and work within the best ethical standards of good practice.
QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
• Education: Bachelor/Diploma Degree holder.
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Familiarity with education or non-profit business operations is preferable.
• Fluent in Arabic and good in English both verbal and written.
• Computer literacy - Microsoft office.
• The ability to work in a diverse, interdisciplinary, and fast-paced environment is essential.
• Good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Continuous Improvement.
