Use
This product must only be used with SinorixTM fixed automatic extinguishing systems.

Functions
An actuator is a valve opening device used to release the gas contained in the cylinder.
The pneumatic actuator is fitted to the cylinder valve PM actuation port. It is activated by the
pressure from the pilot line.

Safety
This product may only be installed by Siemens-authorized specialized installers, with
experience in the design, installation and maintenance of automatic extinguishing systems.
During installation, it must be ensured that:
● this product is installed in compliance with the accident prevention regulations and
national regulations in force,
● this product is used as intended,
● any danger is avoided,
● Siemens requirements are met (assembly instructions, technical instructions,
commissioning, and operating instructions),
● the operators have received and understood the information related to this product.
At commissioning, ensure compliance with the legislation in force, technical regulations and
safety instructions.
Failure to comply with Siemens' instructions may result in serious bodily injury or significant
property damage, for which Siemens cannot be held liable.
Siemens reserves the right to make technical modifications and/or improvements at any
time.
Mounting
● Remove the cap from the PM actuation port.
● Screw the actuator onto the PM valve actuation port by hand.
● Tighten using a 19 mm wrench:
Torque: 8 Nm
● Screw the actuator's tee fitting onto the actuator body by hand.
● Screw the pilot hoses and/or the bleed valve at the end of the pilot line onto the L6
outlets of the tee fitting by hand.
● Adjust the position of the hoses to guide the actuator's tee fitting.
● Tighten the tee fitting using a 14 mm wrench:
Torque: 5 Nm
● Tighten the pilot hoses and/or the bleed valve using a 14 mm wrench:
Torque: 5 Nm

Close the pilot line with a bleed valve.

Maintenance

Storage
● Store in its original packaging, protected from shocks.
● Store in a clean and dry location, protected from bad weather.

Inspection

The product must be inspected as often as required by applicable local regulations. For
more information, refer to the maintenance documentation.

● Check that the product is in good condition.

● Check that each fitting has been properly tightened using the appropriate wrench. Re-
tighten if necessary.

Refer to the mounting and maintenance instructions to obtain the detailed procedure.

After an actuation
● Unscrew the actuator from the cylinder valve.
● Replace the cylinder.
● Move PM actuation port cap from full to empty cylinder.
● Fit actuator to the PM actuation port.

Only use actuators in good condition.
