Safety System

• Delay times
The delay times have to be regarded as maximum values. They may be lowered according to
operational requirements or the owner's wish. A reasonable time difference between slowdown and
shutdown has to be maintained.
By no means, the delay times may be increased without written consent of the engine builder.
• Override
Slowdowns can be overridden
Shutdowns can be overridden
The only exception where shutdowns cannot be overriden:
1) PS2002S Main bearing oil pressure very low
2) Over speed 110% RPM (CMCR)
• Shutdown, Slowdown
By no means, a shutdown may be converted into a slowdown
