03 NEW NEIGHBOR INTAKE TEAM PROCESS PROCEDURE Rev 0
1.0 SCOPE
1.1 This procedure applies to the intake (interview) process for New Neighbors.
1.2 All CMC volunteers should remember that they are the face of Champion Forest Baptist
Church and shall be as cheerful, gracious, and friendly as possible to those that come to get
food and other assistance.
4.0 PROCESS
4.1 All other household members should be encouraged to join the Neighbor for the Intake Team
interview.
4.2 Make the First Time Neighbor very comfortable and understanding that they are going to
have a really great experience at the CMC today.
4.3 Make them aware that all the volunteers that will serve them are very glad, and thankful that
they have come. All the volunteers are anxious to help you and your family in every way that
we can.
4.4 Make them aware that we want their first visit to CFBC to be a great experience for you.
4.5 Make them aware that we are thankful they have come to CFBC for their needs.
4.6 Make them aware the food, clothing and kitchen items come from CFBC members with big
hearts wanting to serve them and not from any government.
4.7 The Interview shall determine and include the following:
Information documented using form 02B Neighbor Information:
4.7.1 Specific information about each household member.
4.7.2 Adults in the household that are working and approximate earnings.
4.7.3 Determine their specific physical items and needs (e.g., food, clothes, and kitchen
items).
4.7.4 How they found out about the CMC.
4.7.5 Their status as a Christian and their denomination.

Note: Make the New Neighbor aware that they will be able to select the food
items they want that are in the CMC inventory. The quantity of the food items is
based on the size of the household.
Note: Make the New Neighbor know how often they can come to the CMC (this
is subject to change as the levels of food, clothing, and kitchen items are
available).
Information documented using forms 04A Clothing Shopping and/or 04B Kitchen Item
Shopping forms.
4.7.6 Clothing – sizes and gender as shown on 04A Clothing Shopping form.
4.7.7 Kitchen/Dining – cookware, countertop appliances and dining plates, glasses and
utensils as shown on 04B Kitchen Item Shopping.
Other Interview details
4.8 Make the New Neighbor aware of the opportunities available at CFBC (this will be pursued
in 09 Care/Thrive Process Procedure and 10 Discipleship Team Process Procedure) such as:
4.8.1.1 Service times
4.8.1.2 Life groups
4.8.1.3 Ministries
4.8.1.4 Membership
4.8.1.5 Baptisms
4.9 When the interview is completed, make sure that all documents are completed, in the New
Neighbor (yellow) folder which includes the sequence card.
4.10 Make a copy of the first page of the 02B Neighbor Information form and deliver it to the
Administration desk.
4.11 Deliver the completed New Neighbor (yellow) folder to the Shopping room and place it
at the bottom of the stack in the Ready to Shop file tray.
4.12 End of process
