Week 9 Task: Parts of Graphs and Charts

TASK A: Look at the graphic organiser below. Write 7 sentences to describe the data in the
chart to a reader.

Note:
● The data is based on the pie consumption in cafes at schools and colleges in
Coventry, UK.
● A total of 1,500 students participated in the survey.

Descriptions:

1. The graphic displays the percentages of favorite pie flavors in cafes at school and
colleges in Coventry, UK.

2. From 1500 students surveyed, it can be seen that a majority of the students were likes
flavors pie pumpkin.

3. For the pecan flavor is 19.8% more than the apple, sweet potato dan chocolate flavors.

4. For the apple flavors is 16.3% which is liked by students.

5. Pumpkin flavor is the flavor most liked by students with a percentage of 41.9%

6. Sweet potato flavor is the second last favorite flavor by students with a percentage of
11.6%

7. Chocolate flavor is 10.5% less than sweet potato.

Look at the given graphic organiser. Write a short paragraph (minimum 6 sentences) to
describe the comparison between the type of favourite colour among students from these
different groups of institutions in the chart below.

Answer:
The bar chart shows a comparison between the type of favourite colour among
students from these different groups of institutions.This chart also shows the selection of
green, blue, yellow and red colors between preschool, primary and secondary. For the
selection of the green color, pre-school is more numerous than primary and secondary
with the number of 4 people. Next, for the selection of blue color more for secondary with
the number of 6 people. While for preschool and primary school with the number of 2
people and 4 people respectively. As for the color yellow, the group of students from
secondary school is ahead of preschool and primary school by 6 people. Lastly, red is the
choice for both schools, namely preschool and secondary with an average of 4 students.
