Compose Key Cheat Sheet

The compose key allows you to enter symbols not printed on the keys of your keyboard.

Setting the compose key


GNOME Install Tweaks and set Compose key in Keyboard & Mouse

KDE Plasma Desktop Open System Settings > Input Devices > Keyboard > Advanced

Compose sequence
1. Press the compose key, then release. You are now in compose mode.

2. Type the other keys in your compose sequence. Once the glyph appears, you are out of compose mode.
