First Love

First Love

Matthew 22:37-38 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord
your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all
your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment.”

Mark 12:29-30 Jesus answered him, “The first of all the

commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord
is one. 30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your
heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your
strength. ’ This is the first commandment.”

2 Corinthians 11:3 But I am afraid that just as Eve was

deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow
be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.
Prayer: Lord, loving You first is commanded for our own
good. Cleanse us from every idol and every distraction that
has kept us from loving You first and foremost. Show us
what “loving
God with all my heart, soul, mind and strength” looks like
so we can walk it out.

Revelation 2:1-5 ‘These things says He who holds the seven

stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven
golden
lampstands: 2 “I know your works, your labor, your patience, and
that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested

and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored
for My name’s sake and have not become weary. 4 Nevertheless
I
have this against you, that you have left your first love. 5
Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do
the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove
your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.”’
Prayer: Lord, give us the grace to repent and “do the
first works” of keeping You as our first love. Help

*Jesus declared (made known) the name (character and nature)

of the Father to His disciples. To know Him is to love Him.
This
revelation caused their hearts to love God.

them, and
Prayer: I in them.”
Father, we ask You for more revelation of who You
are. We ask You to declare Your name (character and
nature) to us so that the love that You have for Jesus would
be in us; that we would love Him the same way You do.
Open our eyes to see Your beauty so that our hearts would
be captured with love for You.

2 Cor. 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a

*Our greatest need is to have more revelation of the person

of Jesus Christ who is the Word of God. When we receive
more revelation of Him, we are changed.

and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to
you at the revelation of Jesus Christ …

We want our hearts to be captured with love for You. We
want to tremble at Your beauty, Your holiness, Your majesty,

Your goodness. We want to love You with all of our hearts.

*To love God with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength is
to keep His Word with all of our heart, soul, mind and

Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”
1 John 2:5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God
is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.
Prayer: Lord we ask for grace to keep Your Word with all
of our heart, soul, mind, and strength. We ask you to
illuminate our hearts and show us the parts of Your Word
that we have
ignored, missed, or neglected to obey. Cause us to
wholeheartedly keep all of Your Word.

Colossians 1:9-11 [We] do not cease to pray for you, and to

ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in
all
wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk
worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every
good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11
strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power,
for all patience and
longsuffering with joy …

*The knowledge of God’s will to be made known (for

individuals and corporately).
*With wisdom and spiritual understanding – this
includes understanding timing, know-how and purpose.
*To walk worthy of the Lord by being fully pleasing to Him
(not 70 or 80% but fully pleasing).
*Fruitful in every good work that God has ordained for us to
walk in – today, this month, this year. Make known those works
so we can embrace them and also lay down the works that God
is not
calling us to do.
*Increasing in the experiential knowledge of God
*Strengthened with might by His glorious power

Ephesians 1:17-23 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ,

the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom
and
revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your
understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the
hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His
inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness
of His power toward us who believe, according to the working
of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He
raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in
the heavenly
places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and
dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age
but also in that which is to come. 22 And He put all things
under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the
church, 23
which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
Prayer: God, would You pour out upon us the “spirit of
wisdom and revelation” in the (experiential) knowledge
of God.

Matthew 13:44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure

You
inherited (by virtue of Your death and resurrection) the right
to pour out Your Holy Spirit into our hearts. May God open
our eyes to the reality of all the riches of YOUR
inheritance that is in us.
We ask You to reveal to us the exceeding greatness of Your
power that works in and for us through Jesus Christ. This is
the same power by which Christ was raised from the dead
and seated in the heavenly places. Lord, You are able to
completely liberate, motivate, transform, and lift us up to
walk with You in the heavenly places in Christ.

Hebrews 13:20-21 Now may the God of peace who brought up

our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep,

The Crucified Life

The Crucified Life

*Through a prophetic encounter, the Lord said, “When the

church walks in Galatians 2:20, I will turn on the power
(creative
miracles). It will be the greatest show on earth. Then the
church will have power to stop people from going to hell.”

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer

I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live
in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me
and gave Himself for me.

2 Cor. 5:15 He died for all, that those who live should live
no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them
and rose again.
Prayer: Lord, work “in and through” Your people that we
will no longer live for ourselves but find our life in You and
in
doing Your will.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies

of
God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice,
holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable
service.
Prayer: Lord, raise us up to be those who willingly present
our bodies to you as a living sacrifice to do Your will.

1 Peter 4:1-2 Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh,

arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered
in the flesh has ceased from sin, 2 that he no longer should live
the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the
will of God.
Prayer: Lord, let Your church be armed with the mindset
that suffering is apart of the life of the overcomer. We pray
that we would not shrink back from suffering, but with faith
and love, we would embrace Your will.

1 Peter 4:13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of

Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may
also be glad with exceeding joy.

2 Chronicles 5:11,13-14 And it came to pass when the priests

came out of the Most Holy Place (for all the priests who were
present had sanctified themselves, without keeping to their
divisions), — 13 indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and
singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising
and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with
the
trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised
the Lord, saying:
“For He is good,
For His mercy endures forever,”
that the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, 14
so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the
cloud; for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.

*The priests, Levites, and singers were able to make one sound
(in unity) because they had first sanctified themselves.
Prayer: Lord, let Your sanctifying and purifying fire burn
through the hearts of Your people. Bring forth a purity of
heart in the church so that we may praise You in unity and in
“the
beauty of holiness” so that Your manifested glory may fill
Your church.

*Spiritual forces of darkness work to keep believers
discouraged and divided and therefore ineffective. When we
are divided and
discouraged, easy things become very hard. When we are united

The Fear of the Lord

The Fear of the Lord

*The “fear of the Lord” was the delight of the Lord Jesus
Christ (Isaiah 11:3). For this reason, the fullness of God’s
Spirit rested on Him (Hebrews 1:9).
*To “fear the Lord” means to “tremble at His Word” (Isaiah
66:2); to pay attention to His Word and to do what He says
(Exodus
9:18-21).
*Whenever the fear of God is mentioned in the New
Testament, we see the power of God, miracles, and a harvest
of souls
following.

Acts 2:43, 47b Then fear came upon every soul, and many
wonders and signs were done through the apostles. . . 47 b and
the Lord added to the church daily those who were being
saved.

Acts 5:11-14 So great fear came upon all the church and upon
all who heard these things. 12 And through the hands of the
apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people.
And they were all with one accord in Solomon’s Porch. 13 Yet
none of the rest dared join them, but the people esteemed
them highly. 14 And believers were increasingly added to the

The Great Commission

The Great Commission

Matthew 28:19-20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the

nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that
I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to
the end of the age.” Amen.

Mark 16:15-18 And He said to them, “Go into all the world
and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes
and is
baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be
condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe:
In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with
new
tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink
anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay
hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Prayer: Lord, we ask You to forgive us for neglecting to
obey Your Great Commission to go, to preach, and to
make
disciples. Would You ignite a burden in our hearts to obey
You and grant that every one of us would do our part.

John 4:35 Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and

Ephesians 4:11-12 And He Himself gave some to be apostles,

some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and
teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of
ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.

Prayer: Lord, help every believer to realize that the reason

we come to church is not to be entertained but to get
equipped so that we can do work for You. Help us to
change our mindset from being a “passive consumer” to
an active worker in the kingdom.

The persecuted church prayed as recorded in:

Acts 4:29-31 “Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to

reach the lost so that we would fervently pray in one accord
for “boldness to speak Your word” with signs and wonders.
Bring our hearts to the place where you may answer us like
you did the early church. We NEED the baptism of Your
Holy Spirit
with POWER to boldly proclaim Christ with signs
and wonders.

Acts 2:42-43, 47b And they continued steadfastly in the

apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and
in prayers. 43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders
and signs
were done through the apostles. 47b And the Lord added to
the church daily those who were being saved.

49
Prayer: Lord, help us to learn to meet in small groups,
continuing steadfastly in the “apostles’ doctrine and

The Lost and Backslidden

The Lost and Backslidden

2 Cor. 4:4 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those

who are perishing, 4 whose minds the god of this age has
blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the
glory of
Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
Matthew 18:18-20 “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind
on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on
earth will be loosed in heaven. 19 “Again I say to you that if two
of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will
be done for them by My Father in heaven. 20 For where two or
three are
gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
Mark 16:17 “And these signs will follow those who believe:
In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with
new tongues;”

*The lost and backslidden are blinded by evil spirits.

Demons have deceived them by feeding them lies. Natural
reasoning
cannot deliver people from demonic/supernatural deception.
It takes the power of the Holy Spirit.
*We have the power to not only “bind” but to cast the
demonic spirits away from our loved ones.

59
Prayer: In the Name of Jesus, we bind the mind-blinding
spirit(s) offour loved ones. We command you togo in Jesus’ Name.

59
The Lost and Backslidden

John 16:8-11 “And when He (Holy Spirit) has come, He will

convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of
judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 of
righteousness,
because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11
of judgment, because the ruler of this world is
judged.”

*We must pray that the relentless conviction of the Holy Spirit
will convict the person(s) of their sin of unbelief (that they are
not
living a life of trusting in the Lord Jesus); that they are
unrighteous and they NEED the righteousness that only comes
through trusting Jesus; that satan is judged and a judgment day
is set where all men will give an account to God. Pray that they

Convict them of sin.
Convict them of their need for the gift of righteousness.
Convict them of a coming judgment and that righteousness
is only found in Jesus Christ.
Draw them to Yourself.

2 Timothy 2:25-26 “ ….if God perhaps will grant them

Prayer: Lord, we ask that you would grant our loved ones

truth and come to their senses.

Acts 2:17 “And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,

1 Cor. 14:13-15 Therefore let him who speaks in a tongue pray

that he may interpret. 14 For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays,
but my understanding is unfruitful. 15 What is the conclusion
then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the
understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing
with the understanding.
61
The Lost and Backslidden

*Pray in tongues and ask the Holy Spirit to give you the
interpretation. You will receive inspired thoughts leading you
in how to pray for the person.
*For example: “Lord, deliver them from this ungodly relationship
that is holding them back from You,” or, “Lord, please send
godly people into their life.”

*While praying in tongues, pray the inspirations that are coming

in your spirit from the Holy Spirit.

Mark 11:23-24 “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to

this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does
not
doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be
done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you,
whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you
receive them, and you will have them.”

*We must believe our prayers are heard and then we must SAY
it. We can and should make decrees. For example, if you are
praying for a lost or backslidden son or daughter, you should
say Isaiah
54:13-14. Decree what you have been praying.

Isaiah 54:13-14 “All your children shall be taught by the Lord,

And great shall be the peace of your children. 14 In righteousness
you shall be established; You shall be far from oppression, for
you shall not fear; And from terror, for it shall not come near
you.”

The Lost and Backslidden

Prayer: We declare that all of our children shall be taught by the Lord.

Philippians 4:6-7 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything

by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your
requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God,
which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and
minds through Christ Jesus.”

*Give thanks by faith. Thank the Lord that the person(s) is

delivered from demonic blinders. Thank God that they are
under the continual conviction of the Holy Spirit. Thank God
for giving them the gift of repentance. Thank Him for teaching
them,
drawing them, and pouring out His Spirit upon them.
Ephesians 6:17-18 “And take the helmet of salvation, and the
sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying
always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being
watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for
