ACTIVITY 1 | The Worker

Work is on your way. Are you prepared to work? Do you have the potential, character,
talents, and skills to take up the vigour of being a worker? What should you possess to become a
good worker? How will you prepare for work immersion?

As a student who is eager to learn more, I am ready. I am able to pick up new abilities,
adjust to a new environment, and solve any issues that could come up at work. Since these are
qualities that everyone should have, we should all practice good work ethics, discipline, honesty,
and integrity. I really believe that having a strong work ethic and a positive outlook are necessary
for a successful career and the readiness to study before time. I personally research the business
I'll be working for and the task I'll be doing in order to get ready for work immersion.
Additionally, I must be punctual, dress appropriately, and possess excellent communication
skills. Finally, I must have a good attitude, be open to criticism, and be motivated to learn from
others.

15. Do try to be as transparent as possible. Don’t have a personal conversation at your
desk.

Reflection

1. Do you agree to the company’s policy guidelines, rules, and agreement? Support your
answer.

Yes I agree, because this policy, guidelines, and agreement help organize the workplace
that we have and so that the workplace does not become messy or have problems. Additionally,
we should keep in mind the company's policy guidelines, rules, and agreements since these are
the rules for etiquette at work. In addition, following the rules and regulations will help me do
my job in the most efficient and effective way possible.

2. Was there a rule that you think is not acceptable to you? Why?

I see nothing wrong with the policies at such a place of employment because they simply
make every effort to provide their customers excellent service.
ACTIVITY 3 | Situational Analysis

CONFIDENTIALITY IN THE WORKPLACE

Suppose you work in a police station or a law firm and signed a confidentiality
agreement regarding all their cases at hand, suddenly your friend who was a suspect to a crime
asked you for some documents that are in your office’s possession that may help him in his case.
How would you deal with the situation?

It is my responsibility as an employee obligated by a confidentiality agreement to

maintain the privacy of all cases and documents involving the police station or law office where I
work. Even if my friend were a suspect in the case, I would not be able to give him what he
needed in this circumstance. This would be a violation of my confidentiality agreement and have
major impacts for both myself and the company. Instead, I would inform my friend that I am
unable to give him the requested documents due to a confidentiality agreement that I have
signed. I would also suggest that he seek legal advice and pursue the correct legal procedures to
acquire any records that would be helpful to his case. By doing this, I can make sure I'm
maintaining my confidentiality obligations and giving my friend the support he needs to explore
his legal solutions.

ACTIVITY 4 | Conflict Resolution

Did you ever experience disagreement and conflict with co-workers? How did you
handle the situation? How would you rate your skills in handling differences of opinion? Please
give an example that illustrates that skill.

I have not yet experienced conflict with my co-workers, but I have some idea how to
handle that situation. Handling conflicts with co-workers can be a challenging task, but it is
essential to maintaining a positive work environment. First, stay calm, avoid getting angry or
defensive, and try to remain composed. Second, identify the issue. Try to identify the specific
issue that is causing the conflict. It is essential to understand the root cause of the problem to find
a solution. Third, listen actively to your co-worker's perspective and try to understand their point
of view. It is important to give them an opportunity to express themselves. Fourth, communicate
your perspective clearly and respectfully. Avoid making assumptions or placing blame, and
focus on finding a solution. And lastly, find a solution. Work together with your co-worker to
find a mutually acceptable solution. Brainstorm ideas and compromise where necessary.

ACTIVITY 6 | JOB INTERVIEW

A job interview is an interview consisting of a conversation between a job applicant and a

hired. How you answer questions during job interview can have a big impact on you being hired
or accepted as a work immerse. Jot down questions that you have come across during your first
dialogue with the partner-industry work supervisor or head of office you will be assigned.

During my interview I’m super nervous; the first question the interviewer asked me was
“why did you choose this position?” I answered “ I am eager to utilize my creativity and passion
for fashion to contribute to your team and help your company grow and I love designing, and
this is my dream job” and the interviewer smiled at me, and I think my answer was good for her,
and then she asked me to draw a gown, and she said that my sketch was beautiful. In the first
place, we should do our best to answer the question that was asked of us because this is what

COLLAGE OF MY SENIOR HIGH EXPERIENCE
REFLECTION ON JOB READINESS CULMINATING ACTIVITY

The job readiness culminating activity is an event that helps the students become job-
ready. They planned a number of activities, including entrepreneurship day and job interviews.
The culminating activity is a fantastic event that I will never forget. There were a lot of fun
experiences that I encountered, and I learned a lot in this 5-day event.

On first day, students gathered at the covered court. The teachers told us what to do in the
five-day activity. The first activity that all students do is the scavenger hunt. This game has six
stations with a challenge that we must complete. First, we went to his team, gathered, and went
to station 1. Next is station no. 2, where the challenge is that we have two papers and one ball.
We connect the two papers and the ball we rolled here until it lands on the finished line. We
didn't have a hard time at this station because our group members are good at balancing. Next
station is station no. 3, we go there, and the challenge is to balance the cup, and the cup has a
rubber. The 10 members can only play. At first, we think of some strategies and apply them to
the challenge, and we finish the challenge. In station 4, five members can only play; the first
member has a blindfold, and the other members guide the first member who has a blindfold. Our
member crawled and hit the wall. And there is a cup on the floor that they should avoid. It was
easily done and succeeded. In Station 5, we created a story. Every member must connect with the
story of the previous member. It was easy to succeed because while we were waiting for the
other team to finish, we were already thinking of a story that we would tell. In station 5, we draw
the logo of Jollibee, and after that, we go on stage to take a picture. This game is fun, and there is
a lot to learn, such as teamwork. You must help something succeed and facilitate it. After the
game, Sir Jerald and Ma'am France teach us some tips for job interviews. Sir Jerald discusses
what should be done in a job interview, and Ma'am France teaches us how to look good in a job
interview.

On the second day, we have a symposium. In the morning, the guests discuss the rights
and duties of employees, like whether the employee should have a proper salary, whether the
employers should provide a workplace free from serious recognized hazards, and whether they
should comply with standards, rules, and regulations issued under the OSH Act. Examine
workplace conditions to make sure they conform to applicable OSHA standards. Make sure
employees have and use safe tools and equipment, and properly maintain this equipment. After
that, the DTI discusses proper labelling and packaging. The DTI also discusses how to create a
name and how to register the name of the business. In the afternoon, the guest discusses how to
become successful and how to manage the business with the theme "opportunity is now here,
opportunity is nowhere." The guest says that every time there is an opportunity, we must think
carefully to rise in life. He also discussed his personal life. He said that when he was a child, he
started doing business, selling things. He has a lot of struggles in life, but he overcomes them and
becomes successful. I believe that life without struggle is boring. How can a person be hard
working person if there are no problems in life? Honestly, all of us are working hard because of
problems with money. It is good to achieve success when you feel hardships, struggles, and
challenges in life. It is good to feel that all of your hard work has paid off. I have learned a lot
from them. Thanks for this activity because we now have an idea of how to create a business or
how to make it successful.

On day 3, the entrepreneurship day, all the students in grade 12 created businesses. Our
business is a mango-graham shake and potato twist. We decorated our booth and cleaned it to
make it presentable. I and my group members are shocked because we have a lot of customers to
the point that others have not been given our products. In this activity, we have realized that it is
not easy to do business and you must be prepared for what may happen in your business, like
when our stove did not heat up properly, our potato twist was not cooked properly, and our
ingredients ran out immediately.

On Day 4, the Mock job interview, we dress up like we're actually applying for a job. We
organized well and made a resume and application letter. Honestly, I'm super nervous that day
because I don't have confidence in myself, and it's my first time doing a job interview, unlike my
other classmates, who have already experienced this when they worked. I applied to be a fashion
designer because I believe that I have some skills like drawing and sketching and a creative mind
to come up with fresh and innovative designs. This position is a childhood dream because I'm a
big fan of pageants. The person who interviewed me was none other than Ms. Jhoyce Moises.
Just before I sat down, I was nervous, but when Ms. Moises started speaking, I was no longer
nervous because she was very kind and funny. First, she asked me why the fashion designer was
the position I chose. I said this because I love designing and sketching gowns and clothes. After
a lot of questions, she made me draw the design of the gown. Honestly, I was nervous that time
because I only had a few minutes to sketch, but I had already practiced it at home. After I drew,
Ms. Moises said that my designs were amazing, and I thank her. After that, she congratulated
me, and I was hired. I'm so happy because I only had one interview. I went to my friends and
told them about it. Thanks for this activity because I have learned a lot and can proudly say that
I'm job-ready! I believe I can apply for a job, and I know how to make a resume and application
letter. Additionally, I realized that you should not be nervous in the interview and be confident in
your skills and in yourself. In the afternoon, we continued our business because there were
ingredients and cups left over. We continued this to make more money; we avoided what we did
wrong, and we applied what we learned on the first day of business.

On day 5, the activity is that we will walk on stage, and what is our dream job is what we
will wear, and I will wear doctor attire because this is my childhood dream. In the afternoon, we
announced the winner. We won 3rd place in the logo and flyer-making contest. I'm so proud of it
because I made the logo and flyers.

Thanks to this wonderful activity, we had so many realizations about ourselves. Honestly,
I don't know what I'm going to do after college, but this activity taught me that a lot of
opportunities are waiting for me after graduating senior high school: I can do business, continue
in college, work, and more. I have gained a lot of lessons from this activity, and I hope that the
next students can also experience this wonderful activity. Thanks to San Isidro National High
School for making the students ready after graduating senior high school.
