The host conducted an experiment uploading YouTube Shorts clips over 30 days to test the platform's potential for gaining views and subscribers. Some key findings were that the first video received over 2,000 views, motivation continued despite inconsistent results initially, and focusing on less saturated topics and other language podcasts helped gain traction. In total, the channel gained 12 subscribers and 11,800 views over 24 days before the experiment ended due to time constraints. The host concluded YouTube Shorts showed promise but more testing was needed.

You are on page 1/ 3

I used vidyo.ai to do this. You can also use opus pro.

First you need to pick a niche. I decided to pick podcast clips as these can be easily snagged
and generated into clips by AI. And also, I did some digging, and others using different AI
methods weren’t getting a good amount of views.
Key points I gathered from trying youtube shorts: Go for less saturated topics. This can be
done with a website called vidiq.com or tubebuddy to search up competition for the topic you
are creating the video about.
On the first day I uploaded a clip not expecting anything major but then I checked in the
morning and it got 2.1k views which kinda motivated me to continue this.
Then I didnt get any action until day 6 where I was pretty much wready to give up because
only my first video had gotten a little bit of views. But on the 7th day I checked the channel
and two of my videos had gotten views, for a total of 3.1k views that day. This kept my hopes
and I continued.
After that, I sometimes got views and sometimes didn’t.
Things weren’t looking good around the 23rd day. I was hanging by a loose thread.
Important thing I learned: Other language podcasts were trending. So its best to upload
videos which don’t target a specific language as that will get more views generally speaking.
Day 24, my free minutes finished and I got busy with a vacation trip and so I ended the
journey there.
So in total, I gained 12 subscribers, 11.8k views and now I get 10-20 views daily.
I know I wrote 30 days in the title but that’s a well rounded figure Imma be honest.
So maybe, just maybe, if I had continued, I would’ve gotten more traction. And views grow
at an exponential rate once one of your videos becomes viral.
Comment down below what method I should test out next and Peace!

[Opening scene: The host sitting in front of the camera, energetic and excited]
Alright so Ive been seeing a lot of videos about youtube shorts pop up in my feed so I
decided to give it a go myself and after 30 days, I concluded the test (for now). Welcome to
Income Tested channel and lets begin.

So this process is also called Youtube automation.

Host: First things first, I needed to pick a niche for my YouTube Shorts. After some
brainstorming, I decided to focus on podcast clips. They're easy to snag and generate into
short clips using AI. Plus, after doing some research, I found that others using different AI
methods weren't getting a significant amount of views with this niche. So, I thought, why not
give it a shot?
In this video, I am going to discuss how I did it, what tools I used, and how you can do the
same, so lets get right into it.

[Cut to screen recording of the host using VidIQ or TubeBuddy]

Host: One of the key points I learned during this experiment is to go for less saturated topics.
Tools like VidIQ.com or TubeBuddy can help you search for competition and find niches that
have the potential for growth.

[Cut back to the host]

Host: On the first day, I uploaded a clip without expecting much. But to my surprise, when I
checked the next morning, it had already garnered 2.1k views! That was a huge motivation
for me to continue this experiment.

[Cut to a time-lapse of the host checking the channel and views over the next few days]

Host: However, for the next few days, I didn't get any major action. It seemed like my first
video was a fluke. I was starting to feel a bit discouraged, ready to throw in the towel. But
then, on the seventh day, I checked my channel again, and two of my videos had received
views! In total, I got 3.1k views that day. That gave me a glimmer of hope to keep going.

[Cut to a montage of the host sharing different clips and their varying views]
Host: Throughout the 30-day experiment, some days I got views, and some days I didn't. It
was a rollercoaster ride, to say the least. Things weren't looking good around the 23rd day,
and I felt like I was hanging by a loose thread.

[Cut to the host sharing an important lesson learned]

Host: But then, a valuable lesson hit me like a ton of bricks. It turned out that other language
podcasts were trending on YouTube Shorts. So, it's best to upload videos that don't target a
specific language, as they have the potential to gather more views, generally speaking. Keep
that in mind for your own YouTube Shorts journey!

[Cut to the host reflecting on the experiment]

Host: Unfortunately, on day 24, my free minutes for Vidyo.ai ran out, and I also got busy
with a vacation trip. So, I had to end my experiment there. In those 24 days, I gained 12
subscribers and received a total of 11.8k views. I know I initially mentioned a 30-day
experiment, but hey, 30 days is a well-rounded figure. Who knows, maybe if I had continued,
I would've gained even more traction. After all, views tend to grow exponentially once one of
your videos goes viral.

I want you to comment down below and let me know what method you think I should test out
next. For now, “I tested Tiktok for 30 days” is in the making, so subscribe if you want to see
it being compared to Youtube shorts.

Host: That's it for today's video, folks. I hope you enjoyed this journey into the world of
YouTube Shorts with me.
I hope you enjoyed the video, and until next time, peace out!
