Today, me and Tyler came together as a pair to start the work on our film production.
We started off by creating a mindmap of what qualities do people need to work well
in a team. We came up with various ideas. We came up with multiple ideas for what
our short film would look like and could be, Lindsey made the final decision of which
one would be in our short film.

06/06/23
In this lesson, we started working on doing our treatment for our upcoming short film.
In this task, me and Tyler have started working together to complete our treatment.
Involved in this treatment is the title, medium, length, classification and the synopsis.
Tyler did the title, medium and 1 ½ of the synopsis and I completed the length,
classification and 1 ½ of the synopsis. Me and Tyler worked together in order to give
our short film a basis and think of different camera shots and edits we could use
throughout the short film. I started my part of the shot list.

07/06/23
In this lesson, we started working more on the shot list. Me and Tyler both have to do
50 shots each to get altogether 100 shots. I also started my BBFC document about
the ratings, their history, and the classification.

08/06/23
Tyler was not in today so i started to finish my 50 shots on the shot list for our short
film, High Hoops. I completed my 50 shots completely and therefore started to add
each of them into my storyboard. The task was to add each of the shots and actions
into the storyboard sections and the mise en scene. Once I completed doing this, I
printed out my section of the 50 shots and planned on what drawings I should do to
add to my storyboard.

12/06/23
I started to fill out both the location recce and risk assessment for my short film. I
have completed both of these, for the college, cafeteria and the basketball court.
Tyler was not in this lesson, therefore I started to work on his 50 shots that are part
of his part of the film.
13/06/23
Today I continued working on Tylers 50 shots in the shot list as he was not in to do
them. I had to create my own version of tylers section of it all as we did not discuss it
beforehand. I worked on this throughout the day as I had to think of parts that went
well with each other. Coming towards the end of the day I had almost finished it all
together. I only had 10 more shots to complete the shot list.

14/06/23
Today I worked on getting the rest of the 10 shots of tylers section of the shot list
completed. I completed this within 15 minutes. Once I had completed all of the shot
list entirely I had to get all the information into the storyboard which I had already
started previously. I started by adding all the numbers onto the shot number section
and adding each of the actions and camera shots into each section.

15/06/23
Today I continued working on the entire storyboard by adding in each of the mise en
scenes into each of the 100 shots. This took some time as each of them had
different mise en scenes and changed each time as there were different characters
involved also. Once this was completed I started to draw my storyboard.

19/06/23
Today, I talked to Lindsey about the situation of Tyler as I was doing every inch of
his work and doing my own also. She told me that for today I needed to keep any
uncompleted work and make each of them better in different ways. So during today I
completed different paperworks to make each of them better.

20/06/23
In this lesson, my partner Tyler did not come in therefore I had to join a different
group and start filming their short film with them. I joined the group with Will and
Ashley in which their short film was about a person losing a watch. Ashley wasn't in
on this day so me and will got together their shot list of everything that they needed
and the shots that are involved in it. Me and will started filming the short film on
Tuesday.

21/06/23
Throughout the day, the entire group was in, so me, Will and
Ashley started filming more of the shots that were needed for
the short film. We did shots with the camera and the tripod in
various locations and also used the track for some of the
shots that were in the hallway of the Priestley Building. We
attempted to do one shot for each scene and tried getting
them the way we wanted to the first time. However for some
scenes/ shots in the short film we needed to do multiple
shots as we needed to make sure we got the perfect shot. Towards the end of the
day we started the paperwork of a logging sheet. This logging sheet is where we log
all the shots that we took on the camera and put each of them individually into a list
and say what each of them are and if we were going to use them.

22/06/23
Today, we finished filming our last shots of
the short film. These last shots were easy
to do however we needed a free classroom
to film what we needed. We filmed these
shots in PA.20 in which we all participated
in recording them.

23/06/23
Today, we didn't have media, however I
came in all day to start working on my editing list of what shots i wanted to add into
my short film officially. This editing list helped in order to decide what scenes were to
go where in the short film. This editing list included the shot number, a description of
what it was and what camera angles and shots were used and what type of edit was
to be used. Once this was completed I started by printing it out so it's easier for me
to tick them off as I put each one into the editing software, Adobe Premiere Pro. I
added all my shots that I wanted to add into the editing software, Adobe Premiere
Pro.

26/06/23
Today I focused on getting all of my editing for my short film completed. All of my
shots were in order already from the previous Friday so the things that I had to do
was to go through each shot individually and cut out unnecessary bits of each and
figure out where they could blend into each other. However, in some of my scenes
they were not as easy to blend, as they switched from a scene to a completely
different one. For these ones i had to add different effects into the short film, these
effects were to fade into black then fade into the scene. A few of these effects were
used throughout the short film. I also turned the volume fully down on the shots that
had no dialogue because there are noises in the backing off these shots that didn't fit
with the short film, and these silent shots emphasise the backing music more.
Lindsey checked my short film multiple times and gave me feedback on how to
improve it more. Once I believed I had finally finished it, I asked Lindsey to sign off
on my film. Once she had checked and watched through the entirety of the short film
she signed off on it. Here are some print screens of some of the processes of the
short film that i did whilst editing.

Today we completed unfinished work so it was ready to be marked. Once this was
completed we had to do a SWOT analysis of film added to our prior ones, we also
did a personal development place. In this we had to describe how entry level jobs
could help in the media industry.
