CRITERIA FOR AWARDS FOR OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE IN

SPECIFIC DISCIPLINES
CRITERIA WEIGHT
1. Academic Rating
Final Grade in the learning area or average of the final 20%
grades in subjects related to the award
2. Skill in the Discipline
As shown through:
a. Output (oral or written works, projects, etc. if
applicable) 40%
b. Membership in a club/team (if applicable)
c. Class or school representation
d. Winnings and Awards
3. Attitude toward the Discipline
a. Peer Evaluation (If applicable) 20%
b. Commendation from the coaches/advisers
4. Contribution to the School related to the Discipline
In any of the following:
a. Tutorial/Coaching
b. Performance in school’s various functions and events 20%
c. Products
d. Projects
e. Volunteer work
Note: Peer Evaluation is only applicable to disciplines that involve collaborative work. Candidates
will be evaluated by at least 30% of their peers (group, team, class, or club mates) as well as their
class or club advisers.

The awards for outstanding performance in specific disciplines shall be given to


learners who have met at least 90% (outstanding rating) of the criteria.
Rubrics:
Point system shall be used in the computation of the learners’ performance in
specific disciplines. 10 being the highest (100%).
1. ACADEMIC RATING
Academic Rating shall be based on the final grade or average of the final grades in
subjects related to the award. The procedure for determining the performance points is
given below:
1.1 Divide the final rating by 10.
1.2 Multiply the resulting quotient by 0.2.

2. SKILL IN THE DISCIPLINE


2.1 Output

Compute the average rating of the learners in all of his performance outputs
such oral or written works, projects, etc. Convert the rating into point by dividing it
by 10.

2.5 Computation of points shall be cumulative. However, points for


concurrent positions held in violation of existing DepED policies shall not be
considered, in which case only the highest point shall be included. (Section 8,
Article VIII, DepED Order No. 79, s. 2009)
2.6 To be considered as points, copies of all documentary and evidentiary
requirements (DepED Order, DepED Memorandum, written authorization from the
School Head, certificates, medals, trophies, plaques and others) shall be
presented.
2.7 To be considered as points, officers in organizations seeking recognition
shall present an accomplishment report verified thru certifications by proper
authorities.
3. ATTITUDE TOWARD THE DISCIPLINE
3.1 Peer/Teacher Evaluation
The Candidate will be evaluated by 30% of his/her peers (group, team,
class or club) as well as the coaches and advisers on the merit of leadership,
responsibility, commitment, dedication and ability to follow rules, policies and
guidelines in any work related tasks under a particular discipline. Four-scale rating
system shall be used in evaluating the candidate’s attitude toward the discipline.

Proposal, Action Plan, Accomplishment Report, Means of Verification duly certified by
proper authorities.
