I. Project I
A. Project Overview
Borey Chaktomuk I has already Installed 24 core Fiber from CooTel Site Named KDF052 with the total length is about 2.5km.
However, this cable is mainly use for backbone access network only and even the costing for installation is also higher than the
normal access line. Additionally, the EDC also charge for monthly pole service around 5$/month.

Any connectives for other locations, we would like to

recommend to use Borey Chaktomuk I as a based
station, it means other location should connect from
Borey Chaktomuk I rather than from the based
station of CooTel.

Since there is no fiber cable connected from Borey

Chaktomuk I to other business locations such as
Borey Chaktomuk II and Borey Chaktomuk
showroom. These projects is out of scope for
CooTel.

The project for installing fiber cable from Borey

Chaktomuk I to Borey Chaktomuk II and Chatomuk
Showroom might need Fiber cable around 4.3km
based on the location of both please (see the map
#2 and #3).

We would like to recommend 4 cores fiber optic

cable because of its costing, installation fee, and
even utilization efficiency.

However, the 4 cores fiber cable contains only 4km

per roll so we need 300 meter more based on the
real situation.

Even we are showing both distances is 4.3km

totally, in the real installation we need to spare
some fiber around 30 to 50 meter on the pole for
every joined cable (where cable join each other).
Therefore, the length of cable might be longer than
the number that shown in the maps.

- Install and configure all internal network and configuration

- Maintain the cable which is cut by the owner.

D. Project Scheduling

The project will be starting 7 days after getting first deposit. Installation and configuration will be finished
within 5 days for both locations in Project I. The first phase, connecting from Borey Chatomuk I to showroom
will be finish within 2 days and the second phase, the connection from Borey Chaktomuk I to Borey
Chaktomuk II will be finished 3 days after phase 1.

II. Project II
A. Project Overview
Based on location of Borey East Land and Home, it
is a bit isolated and far from the other projects. The
concept of owner wants to develop and sustain and
efficient for transmit a huge data from this location
to Chatomuk City View.

We are strongly recommend fiber cable backbone

transmission. However this is a long distance,
7.79km, for installing 4core cable. We a
professional installer and splicer who has got long
experience to install this cable otherwise all cable
will be broken because the 4 cores cable is not
strong enough as the 12 core or 24 cable is.
However, EDC will charge 1$/pole if we install cable
12/24 cores on its poles.

Consequently we might need 2 rolls 4 core cable to

supply this project.

III. Recommendation
Based on the location of Borey East Land and Home, we can give some recommendation and optional choices as below:

1- 12 Core Cable
Even the price for 12 cores cable is quite more expensive than the 4 cores is, the strength is also quite more suitable
for long distance, longer 2km. Here is the cost estimating for 12 core fiber installation:

The above calculated is not included EDC pole rental fee. Thus the monthly fee should be:
8000 meters/ 50meter = 160 poles then the monthly fee is about $160/months

2- 4 Cores Fiber Cable with Backup Wireless Link

This option is possible but we need a professional fiber installer and splicers. However there are many causes which
can the 4 core easier to cut than the 12 cores; heavy rain with strong wind, broken tree, heavy hit by human ….

If we want a zero down time connectivity, it is possible to install a backup link. We can install only underground cable
for our back but the cost is too expensive, but we can install wireless transmission backup link by using Airfiber 5, the
transmission medium powered by Ubiquiti

We might need a strong two pole for install this equipment

and even need routing equipment which is able to make a
function failover in order to get switch from main link to backup
link automatically when the main link is cut.

The costing for this equipment and installation is acceptable:

- AirFiber 1 Pair = $2,200
- Installation Fee = $200 - $300
- The poles 2 Poles = $500 - $1,000
- The MikroTik = $110 - $350

The total cost for this backup link is about $2,800 - $4,000
based on what material and pole you will use for this
installation.
