00 ETAP System Modelling

ETAP is a software platform used for modeling, analyzing, and operating power systems throughout their lifecycle. It allows users to build a single line diagram of an AC power network, perform studies under different configurations and conditions, and create customized presentations and reports. The software provides tools for intuitive modeling, automatic connectivity checks, and multi-level access management for power system design, analysis, and operation.

Rules:
• Move From Dumpster can be done only under “Edit” mode
and “Base” revision data
• Deleted Items (element groups) must be present in
Dumpster beforehand
• IDs of the moved elements, along with the connections,
status, and properties are preserved
• Move desired Dumpster cell group by selecting from the
Dumpster window
• Move From Dumpster capability also supported inside
Composite Networks
• Both sections of Remote Connector element must be moved
from the dumpster at the same time

Elements can be moved from the Dumpster into the one-line

diagram with the same name IDs by using the following
methods:
• Right-click on the one-line diagram and select Move From
Dumpster
• Click on Edit on the Menu Bar and select “Move From”
Data Block
Create a Data Block for Bus elements to display the following:
• Bus Name (ID)
• Nominal Bus kV
• kW Loading
• Voltage Drop in kV
