Before we proceed to our new lesson, let us review our
(clap 5*)
last topic.
So what have we discussed at last meeting in class?
Anyone?

Very good!
What are the two Plant kingdoms? We have discussed last meeting about
Very good! Classification of plants ma’am.
So, What are the two examples of Non-Flowering
Plants?
Non-Flowering and Flowering Plants Ma’am.

What about the Flowering plants?

Very good!
Mosses and Ferns Ma’am
Do you have any questions regarding our past lesson
class?
Gymnosperm and Angiosperm Ma’am
If you don’t have any questions, then let’s proceed to
our next lesson.
C. MOTIVATION
None Ma’am.
Ok class I prepared a game just for you.
Are you ready?
Very good.
Kindly read the direction class.
Direction: Try to guess the hidden word by connecting
the available letter/ word and picture in each number.
Yes ma’am

( The children will read the direction)

( They will guess the hidden world)

Note: Write all the possible answers here.
D. ACTIVITY
I will group you into two and then each group need to
complete the rumbled pictures. (8 planets)
But before that let me remind you first about my rules
that I want to apply in this subject.
So please follow these rules while doing the activity
that was given to you.
1. Do not go to other group to disturb them in making
their own activity.
NOTE: Where are the rumbled

E. ANALYSIS
What did you observe in the different pictures you’ve
completed?
Any idea class?
Can you recognize what is in the picture?

Yes ma’am
Very good!
Different planets ma’am.
If you remember the activity that you did earlier about
finding the hidden word, these pictures are connected
with it.
So class kindly enumerate them.

Very good class!

Can you give some information about these planets?
Anyone? Mercury, earth, Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, Mars,
It’s ok class if you can’t give any information about
these for now. But I know that you are already familiar Neptune, Uranus
with their name and look.
Am I right class?
That’s great.
F. ABSTRACTION
So class our topic for today is about our solar system.
What comes into your mind if you hear the words solar
system class? Yes ma’am
Yes, very good.
Planets are also connected with our topic which is
solar system.
I will play a video song class and please take down the Planets and sun ma’am
important information in the video that I will present
class.
Listen and focus.
( The teacher will play a short video)

Since I play that video song I know that you already

have an idea about our topic.
So let’s now begin class. (The children will watch the video song).

Sun- Star of the Solar System

 It’s the heaviest among solar system.
 It is a ball of hot burning gases.
 It is the nearest star to the earth.
 The light from the star to the earth.

Planets
 Planet word comes from Greek, which means
wandering star.
 Earlier it was considered there were 9 planets in solar

activity.)
Inner Planets: Mercury, Venus and Earth
Outer Planets: These are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and
Neptune

Between Inner and outer Planets, there is a ring of

small bodies, which are made of rock and metal, these
are called ASTEROIDS. They also keep moving
around the Sun. This ring is also called ASTEROID
BELT.

MERCURY- the innermost Planet

 It is named after messenger of the roman gods.
 It is the closest planet to the sun.
 There is no water or atmosphere.
 It can be seen with naked eyes.
 There is no seasons on its surface
 It does not have any satellite
VENUS- the veiled Planet
 It is surrounded by thick cloud cover that is why it is
called “Veiled Planet’’.
 It is the brightest and hottest planet.
 It is named after Roman goddess of love and beauty.
 It is also known as a twin sister of earth because of its
similar size and mass to earth.
 It’s also known as Morning Star or Evening Star
because it reaches its maximum brightest shortly
before sunrise or shortly after sunset.
EARTH-the blue planet
 It is also known as a watery planet, because 70% of its
surface is covered by water.
 It reflects about 1/3rd of sunlight it receives. The earth’s
atmosphere scatters the light and creates a blue effect.
 Only planet having life.
 It revolves around the sun, due to its tilt, seasons are
created.
 Moon is the only satellite of the earth
MOON- Only satellite of earth
 It’s diameter of only 1/4th of the earth
 It looks bigger to us as it is very close to us.
 As there is no atmosphere, there is no weather, no rain,
no wind or clouds.
 It doesn’t have its own light. It shines due to Sun’s
light.
 There is no water on its surface.
MARS-the red Planet
 It is named after the roman god of war.
 It is often described as the red planet as the iron oxide
prevalent on its surface gives it a reddish appearance.
 It has two satellites.
 The gravity of Mars is half of the earth.
 It has the largest dust storms in the solar system.
JUPITER-the Giant planet
 It is named after the Roman god Jupiter (ruler of
Roman gods)
 It is the largest planet within the Solar system
 It rotates faster than any other planet.
 It has a faint ring system; these rings appear to be
made of dust.
 It has 16 planets.
SATURN-the jewel planet
 It is the sixth planet from the sun and the second
largest planet in the solar system, after Jupiter.
 It is named after the Roman god Saturn
 It is classified as a god giant planet.
 It has 22 known satellites.
 It is 95 times heavier than earth.

URANUS-a planet on its side

 Uranus appears to lie on its side.
 It is named after the roman god of the sky.
 The only planet which rotates on its axis from east to
west.
 It has 27 known satellites
 Its core is very rocky
 It is very cold planet.
NEPTUNE-the last Giant
 Most distant as planet
 It is named after the Roman god of the sea.
 Most windy planet.
 It has 8 known satellite
 Neptune was the first planet found by mathematical
prediction.

Any question class?

Very good.
Do you want another game class?
That’s good.
So I have prepared a game that I name CHOOSE ME!
Mechanics:
1. I will choose one student from you class.
None ma’am

Yes ma’am

2. And the one student that I choose will pick a number

from 1- 25 in my presentation. From those numbers
there are pictures of student that I hide.

3. After that the second student that has been chosen

will pick a letter from A- Y in my presentation again.
4. After you choose a letter that you want, there will be
a question, and other surprises that you need to do or to
answer a question in 10 seconds only.

For example:
I will choose Melvin to pick a number. And in that
number, the picture of Janice will pop up. So, Janice
will choose a letter in my presentation again. And in
that letter she will answer the question or do whatever
surprises but it depends on the letter that she will
choose.

Did you understand Class?

So are you ready?
Very good.
Ok let’s start the game.

Yes ma’am.
We are ready ma’am.
G. APPLICATION
So class I want to group you into 2 two again.
And as you can see there are materials here like;
1. Balloon
2. Creep paper
3. Glue
4. Bonnel
5. Tape

But before that kindly read the direction class.

Direction: Create a model of each planet and

explain it later in class.

Ok kindly go now with your groupmates and

make a circle that will serve as your territory in (The students will read the direction)
making that activity.

The right side will be for group one and group

two will be the other side.

I will give you 20 minutes to finish that.

And afterward group 1 will present their work

and group 2 will be the next one.

Is that clear class?

Do you have any question with your activity?

Let me know class, so that you can make it

much better.

Very good.

(After 20 minutes)

(The children will present their works)

A. GENERALIZATION
Very good class.
So before I give you another task. Let’s have a quick
review about our topic.
What are the 8 planets in the solar system?
Very good.
What is the nearest planet from the sun? Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn,
Uranus, and Neptune
Very good.
What is the brightest and hottest planet? Mercury ma’am
Very good class.
Do you have any questions about our topic?
That’s great class. Venus ma’am

None ma’am
