THE USE OF A CONDUCTOR CAR.
FOR A CORRECT AND EASIER INSTALLATION, THE WEIGHT
OF LINEMAN, CONDUCTOR CAR AND EQUIPMENT MUST BE
EQUALLY DISTRIBUTED TO ALL SUB-CONDUCTORS OF THE
PHASE.
THE LOCATION ALONG THE CONDUCTORS MUST BE IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDED POSITIONING
TABLE OF THE PROJECT.
THE CORRECT LOCATION MUST BE DETECTED BY MEANS
OF GROUND TARGETS OR CAR DISTANCE COUNTERS.
CHECK WITH ATTENTION THE CORRECT CLOSURE OF ALL
SPACER DAMPER CLAMPS.
THE PROPER INSTALLATION AND TIGHTENING OF THE
SPACER DAMPER IS SHOWN ON THE FOLLOWING PAGE.

IMPORTANT NOTES
DAMP's system of in-span positioning shown in the following tables, has been computerized.
DAMP's computer programme is based on many correlated field test results, and analytical studies
concerning the behaviour of all currently employed, bundled conductors.
The in-span positionings tabulated are applicable to currently employed (twin, triple, quad,
hexagonal) conductor bundles in spans with standard dimensions and structural characteristics.
For special conditions, such as, extra long spans, wide river or ravine crossings, at high ground
clearance etc., employing high breaking load conductors at high tensions, a specific study/control
is essential to verify (or modify) the system in relation to the specific and special conditions.
In particular, for twin conductor bundles and/or All Aluminium Alloy conductors, the use of
additional Stockbridge type vibration dampers is necessary in almost all cases.
