C. Explain the guiding principles in selecting and using instructional

materials.

1. All instructional materials are aids to instruction. They do not replace

the teacher.
-Yes, I definetely agree because instructional materials help the students
create deeper understanding through visuals, auditory and other means. This also
doesn’t mean that it can and will replace the teacher because it is just a
supplemental material to aid the delivery of instruction
2. Choose the instructional material that best suits your instructional
objectives.
- Powerpoint Presentation because it is very convenient, and visual impacts
can spark interest among the learners. Although its drawback is the power
interruption, modules and other intructional materials may support the delivery
of instruction.
3. If possible, use a variety of tools.
-Different types of tools used for instruction are very essential because we
have varied learners and they have different learning needs. Varied tools would also
spark interest among the learners epecially that their attention span is declining as
time goes by.
4. Check out your instructional material before class starts to be sure it
is working properly.
-Nothing beats preparation. To prepare means we are really serious in getting
the job right and just. Checking the instructional materials beforehand will really help
if anything is functional. However, in times of unforeseen events like power
interruption,
