What is Externship ?
Externships usually occur during the academic year, as a part of a student's curriculum, and provide an
experiential learning environment that offers real-world insight to theoretical topics being learned about
in college.

Externships provide the unique opportunity for students to demonstrate what they've been learning in a
real-world work environment, as well as a chance for the student to determine that the field they are
interested in is a good fit.

Externship program shall be included as part of the curriculum in replacement of any professional
elective subject, or it can be delivered as a value-added program. Program will be delivered over a
period of academic semester.

Externship program will help students to fix their career path early and guide them towards acquiring
skills necessary for the job roles chosen by them. Externship also helps the students build their
professional competencies along with technical skills.

Responsibilities of College
To execute the externship program with expected outcome college shall fulfil the following
responsibilities.
1. College shall sign an MoU to introduce the externship program as part of credit framework (either
as an elective subject or as a value-added course or as a virtual internship program)
2. College shall enroll atleast 120 students in this program (60 per each technology track)
3. College shall identify a single point of contact (SPOC) to monitor the program in the campus and
for the coordination with company.
4. College SPOC shall coordinate with internal stakeholders for the smooth execution of the
program.
5. College shall facilitate the execution of program virtually as per the training calendar confirmed.
6. College shall assign faculty mentors to support students in completion of the program.
7. College shall approve the usage of LOGO, College branding for the publicity of the program.
8. College shall facilitate the physical meetings of the company representatives whenever
necessary.
Responsibilities of Company
Company shall fulfill the following responsibilities for the effective execution of the program.

1. Sign-up an MoU with College

2. Set-up a college micro-site and project workspace on SmartInternz Platform
3. Enroll the students on the platform
4. Assign Industry mentors to the students teams
5. Deliver hands-on training to the students
6. Mentor the students during project development
7. Coordinate with college SPOC for the timely execution of the program.
8. Review the projects submitted by the student teams share the comments
9. Evaluate the final projects and provide the scoring
10. Generate completion certificates
Commercial Terms
The cost of the program with the scope defined is

Rs. 5999 per Student (inclusive of all taxes)

upto 20% discount based on the committed enrollments
