Title: Head of Global Project Management

Reporting to: Vice President Sales

Location: Emhart Glass office, Leipzig, Germany

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for Project Management functions (Hot End & Inspection), processes
and policies
• Coordination of all Project Management teams via the Sr Regional Project Managers
• Planning and managing of the timely execution of the assigned sales projects
• Responsible for personnel training and development of Project Management
functions

Major Tasks: Project Management

• Leading a team of approx..10 to 15 Project managers in various locations globally.


• Continuously optimizing Project Management process
• Creating and clarifying of technical specifications for quotations
• Close co-operation with Sales functions to optimize processes and customer
interface
• Support Key Account Organization
• Project Handling and Execution
• Leading and coordinating interdisciplinary project teams
• Project controlling in terms of date, final specifications, budget, quality and risk
assessments
• Claim and change Management in variations of specs or contract variations
• Create project reports for customers and upper management
• Maintenance and updating of customer data, installed equipment data in the CRM
system – in coordination with Account Manager
• Development of procedures for continuous improvement in conjunction with other
BEG departments and Project stakeholders

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor / Master in mechanical and/or electronics engineering or equivalent


• Strong Project Management and glass technical skills
• Knowledge in economics
• Exceptional cross functional & cultural communication skills
• Good team builder skills (cross sector, supplier, relations, cross function)
• Strong personality and natural leader
• Good knowledge in glass industry
• Written and verbal communication skills in English and German are a must (any
other major European language is an asset)
• Willingness to travel for customer projects

Europe is currently the biggest market for BEG and furthermore, Northern Europe
contributes approx. 60% of all sales within Europe. Therefore, a strong presence is
required by our customers.
