Chapter 1
Introduction
Opr1-1) First Weighment and Second Weighment:
For completing a weigh transaction, it is necessary to take two weighments. This is more relevant
in the case of weighbridges, where the net weight of material loaded in the vehicle is required. If
the total weight of vehicle after loading material is known, then the weight of empty vehicle should
be known to calculate the net weight of material, which is finally required.
For loading of material, first weighment is done on empty vehicle (tare) and second weighment is
done on loaded vehicle (gross). The net weight is calculated by indicator, by subtracting the tare
weight from the gross weight.
For unloading of material, first weighment is done on loaded vehicle (gross) and second
weighment is done on empty vehicle (tare). The net weight is calculated by indicator, by
subtracting the tare weight from the gross weight.
The stored first weighment can be recalled for second weighment by using its RST Number
or Vehicle Number.

Opr1-3) Using Codes during weighment:
This is a shortcut way of entering long and repeatedly used data. By entering the concerned code
number, its associated entry will be recalled and printed in the ticket.
The coding facility can be used for any two entries out of total five entries. For example the codes
may be used for party name and material. These two entries should be on entry2, entry3 or entry4.
For example code ‘001’ can be assigned for party name ‘A-one Transport’ during weighment
entering ‘001’ for party name entry, will automatically recall the actual party name ‘A-one
Transport’. The installation engineer will set the coding facility as per the requirement of the
weighbridge.
For Example:- The COMMODITY you want to enter is SUGARCANE and by mistake you
entered it as SUGARCONE. While taking report of that commodity i.e. SUGARCANE you will
not be able get any record as the entry was SUGARCONE. So to correct it you might re-enter
whole record which will be very tedious job. Hence in place facing such problem you may correct
it at the time of data entry only during weighment procedure by pressing ESCAPE key to till you
don’t get the COMMODITY as data entry. As you reached the COMMODITY data entry,
DISPLAY will show the previously entered data entry i.e. “SUGARCONE” re-write it as
“SUGARCANE” then proceed further by pressing ENTER key and save the record.
Note: - Once the weighment has been saved then you will not be allowed to edit the data entry.

well as auto-generated serial number will be printed for each record.
(2) VEHICLE: (Second style of full report) In vehicle wise report printing, RST
number will not be printed and only auto-generated serial number will be printed
for each record.
ii) SUMMARY REPORT: Summary report is the report, in which only the total for net
weight, charges collected and number of records is printed. Sample of summary report is
as below,

Summary Report- For All Records
Note: Summary report will be available only with General report type.
ii) Report printing ‘Date wise’: This option can be used to take report print out for the records
within a specified range of dates. After selecting this report type, enter start date and last date.
Out of the records within the specified date range, we can select some specific records to be
included in the report. For example we want to print report for vehicle no. “MP09 SB 0676” to
understand how many times this vehicle comes for weighment, what was the total net weight,
what was the total charges collected etc. For this purpose we will select the subcategory vehicle
number or truck number and then enter the vehicle number.
In the same way sub-category can also be selected as any other ticket entry like customer name
/address/commodity/source.
9
Alpha Numeric Digitizer-7300
If such a special party or vehicle specific report is not required, then again choose ‘All’ criteria.
After selecting the required subcategory full/complete/pending choice can be selected.
Pending: Pending includes only those records for which second weighment is pending.
Complete: Complete includes those records whose both weighment have been completed
Full: Full includes all the records including pending records

Opr1-13) TARE operation:
TARE operation is provided to tare the weight on the platform. Press Alt & X keys one by one to
tare the weight & the display will show zero weight on the platform. Any weight kept on the
platform after taring off will be displayed as net weight.
Example: An empty container is placed on the platform, to fill some material. The container weight
should be TARED first, to view the net weight of the material during weighing.
