Alpha Numeric Digitizer-7300
Chapter 1
Introduction
Opr1-1) First Weighment and Second Weighment:
For completing a weigh transaction, it is necessary to take two weighments. This is more relevant
in the case of weighbridges, where the net weight of material loaded in the vehicle is required. If
the total weight of vehicle after loading material is known, then the weight of empty vehicle should
be known to calculate the net weight of material, which is finally required.

For loading of material, first weighment is done on empty vehicle (tare) and second weighment is
done on loaded vehicle (gross). The net weight is calculated by indicator, by subtracting the tare
weight from the gross weight.

For unloading of material, first weighment is done on loaded vehicle (gross) and second
weighment is done on empty vehicle (tare). The net weight is calculated by indicator, by
subtracting the tare weight from the gross weight.

The stored first weighment can be recalled for second weighment by using its RST Number
or Vehicle Number.

Opr1-2) Printing and saving of ticket:

At the end of weighment, all the information included in that weighment can be printed and saved.
Almost 1 LACS such records can be saved and printed. The printout taken for weighment
information is known as ticket. Whenever the weighment record is saved, all the information
related with the weighment is saved at a definite location, identified by an auto-generated serial
number called ‘RST No.’ or Vehicle No.
Maximum no. of programmable subtitles header entries are 10 with each 25 characters long.
The ticket printout can be taken on 80column wide stationary, 40column wide stationary or any
standard format of pre-printed stationary. The installation engineer will set the type as per the
weighbridge requirement.

Opr1-3) Using Codes during weighment:
This is a shortcut way of entering long and repeatedly used data. By entering the concerned code
number, its associated entry will be recalled and printed in the ticket.
The coding facility can be used for any two entries out of total five entries. For example the codes
may be used for party name and material. These two entries should be on entry2, entry3 or entry4.

For example code ‘001’ can be assigned for party name ‘A-one Transport’ during weighment
entering ‘001’ for party name entry, will automatically recall the actual party name ‘A-one
Transport’. The installation engineer will set the coding facility as per the requirement of the
weighbridge.

Opr1-4) Error handling/Correction during data entry:

IIT 4500 provides the feature of handling error for data entries during First weighment procedure.
If any mistake has been done in data entry and you have moved further in weighment procedure
then you can handle this error by pressing Escape (“ESC”) key. Escape key will allow you to move
one step back. After moving one step back you can change the entered entry as per your correction
required. Again pressing Escape key will take you further one step back. After making required
corrections again press enter key to move further.

For Example:- The COMMODITY you want to enter is SUGARCANE and by mistake you
entered it as SUGARCONE. While taking report of that commodity i.e. SUGARCANE you will
not be able get any record as the entry was SUGARCONE. So to correct it you might re-enter
whole record which will be very tedious job. Hence in place facing such problem you may correct
it at the time of data entry only during weighment procedure by pressing ESCAPE key to till you
don’t get the COMMODITY as data entry. As you reached the COMMODITY data entry,
DISPLAY will show the previously entered data entry i.e. “SUGARCONE” re-write it as
“SUGARCANE” then proceed further by pressing ENTER key and save the record.

Note: - Once the weighment has been saved then you will not be allowed to edit the data entry.

Opr1-5) View ticket:

Any of the previously saved ticket can be viewed on the LCD display of indicator. The information
in the ticket is displayed one by one on the LCD display. To view any ticket, the operator has to
supply either the RST/Serial/Key number of the ticket or the Vehicle Number of the ticket.
View by RST number: To view any ticket, for which RST number is known and the other
information is to be viewed, choose this option. Only one ticket with the required ‘RST no.’ will
be displayed. Enter key should be pressed after each entry to display the next entry.
View by VEHICLE Number: To view the weighment details for a particular vehicle, choose this
option. All the tickets saved with the required ‘Vehicle No.’ will be displayed one by one. Enter
key should be pressed after each entry to display the next entry.

Opr1-6) Duplicate Ticket Printing:

Any previously saved ticket can be printed for getting a duplicate copy. To print the duplicate copy
of any ticket:
Print duplicate copy by RST number: To print duplicate copy of a previously saved ticket, for
which RST number is known, choose this option.
5
Alpha Numeric Digitizer-7300
Print duplicate copy by VEHICLE number: To print duplicate copy of a previously saved
ticket, for which vehicle number is known, choose this option.

Opr1-7) Report Printing:

There are two main reports that can be printed on the dot matrix printer:
 General report: In this report, common date is printed on the report for both
weighment (tare & gross) according to the report date type selected along with other
details.
 Time Report: In this report, date –time for both first weighment and second
weighment (tare & gross) get printed separately on the report along with other details.
