Wireless Field Interface

Superior technology with enhanced performance.

The Wireless Field Interface (WFI) allows existing and new Honeywell
Enraf equipment to connect to the Honeywell ISA100 wireless network
and exchange data wirelessly with the supervisory level, supporting
all existing Enraf equipment and 3rd party equipment using BPM.
This product allows integrating wired, wireless, radar and servo ATG’s
into one industrial network. The WFI is ISA100 certified and supports
meshing, as well as over-the-air key deployment and upgrades. High level of data
protection makes the WFI acceptable for legal metrology applications.

Global Experience. Locally Applied.

Flexible, Efficient and Fast
The WFI can be easily integrated in existing installations without the
need to replace, modify or reconfigure existing gauging equipment
(radar or servo) or the supervisory system (CIU, Entis, Engauge).
Working with the wireless infrastructure simply replaces the wires.
No hot work permit is required and downtime is practically zero.

The interface offers significant The WFI Offers a Range of Features to Secure the
benefits for terminals where Greatest Benefits from Industrial Wireless:
• Fully ISA100 compliant, suitable for integration into any ISA100 network

Building a new, wired • The highest level of security to prevent network intrusions
and cyber security attacks

lead times. • Legal metrology approval for custody transfer applications

With the ISA100 Wireless Device Manager (WDM), the CIU, Entis and
Engauge can be connected using the GPU protocol. It also offers native
Experion® integration and connection to any 3rd party device via MODBUS
Serial/TCP, OPC or HART.

Using wireless technology in terminals can reduce infrastructure, installation

cost and will speed-up commissioning and start-up. Overall savings of
40% or more can be achieved. With the Honeywell ISA100 network in
place, additional devices and systems for fire and gas monitoring, overfill
prevention or other terminal-related applications can be installed with
savings of more than 90% against wired deployments.

Commissioning
The SmartView handheld tool, available as an option, can be connected
to the WFI for monitoring (such as reviewing signal strength and the
communication status) and to commission the WFI locally.
