About Business China Youth Chapter

Business China Youth Chapter (BCYC) was formed in 2010 by a group of voluntary
student members with strong support from Business China. Throughout the years, BCYC
has grown from strength to strength and has devoted itself to being the leading
Singapore-based youth community, equipping youths with various skills to be China-
savvy and China-ready.

BCYC provides a platform for selected bilingual and bicultural youths to interact with
other like-minded peers from various institutions. In addition, BCYC also frequently
organises private sharing sessions with both local and international prominent business
leaders and high-profile speakers to facilitate trans-generational knowledge exchange
and insights generation. Another key activity exclusive to BCYC is the annual BCYC
China Learning Journey, which allows Singaporean youths to experience China on-site,
allowing members to forge friendship and establish networks with Chinese students,
professionals and corporations in China.

Since the establishment of BCYC, both Business China and BCYC have successfully planned
and organised many key projects including the following:

Youths who are keen to join BCYC should be:

a) Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident

b) Aged between 17 - 28 years old
c) Currently a full-time tertiary student from any academic discipline or a young working
adult with no more than 3 years of working experience
d) Able to commit to BCYC’s activities for more than a year*
e) Able to demonstrate the following qualities:
i. Potential
ii. Interest & Knowledge
iii. Competency & Leadership Qualities
iv. Commitment

Youths who meet the above requirements may apply. Only selected applicants will be
invited to an interview to access his/her suitability:

* New members are required to attend at least 3 BCYC events within the first 12 months of entering BCYC to retain their
membership. Alternatively, new members can also attend 1 BCYC event and be part of a subcommittee for 1 BCYC event to
fulfil this requirement.

通商中国青年组由一群学生会员自愿发起，在通商中国的鼎力支持下于 2010 年正式成立。多年来，

它不断成长壮大，并致力成为立足新加坡、联系新中青年交流的领先青年社群，同时也为培养新加坡
年轻人成为“新中通”人才奠定坚实的基础。

通商中国青年组为热衷于新中相关事务的新加坡青年打造一个绝佳的交流平台，同时也为各专业领域
的学生及年轻工作人士提供充分的学习机会。为促进跨世代和跨领域的交流分享，青年组定期举办分
享会、邀请海内外知名政商领袖与专家学者分享见解。青年组的中国体验学习之旅带领组员们赴中国
考察，亲身感受中国各领域的迅速发展，同时助力成员们与中国青年、企业及在华新加坡人建立起深
厚的友谊、扩展人脉网络。

自通商中国青年组成立以来，通商中国与通商中国青年组在落实诸多重点项目上成绩斐然，其中包括：

有意加入通商中国青年组的青年人必须符合以下条件：

a) 新加坡公民或永久居民
b) 年龄介于 17-28 岁
c) 修读任何科系的全日制职业或高等教育在读学生,或工作经验不超过 3 年的年轻工作人士
d) 能积极参与一年以上的通商中国青年组活动*
e) 展现潜力、热情、兴趣与能力

符合上述条件的青年将受邀呈交申请表格，通过初选的青年将受邀参加面试：

*新成员必须在加入通商中国青年组的前十二个月内参加至少三次青年组活动才能保留其会员资格。新成员也可
以参加一次青年组活动，并担任一次青年组活动的小组组委以满足此要求。
