Summary
This instruction manual explains updating software of MC-980 Controller.

2. Preparations
Materials
The mouse and USB flash memory should be prepared.

Updated software
The latest version updated software must be prepared from TANITA.
Confirm the software version number.

3. Turn on the power


Turn on the power of the controller.

4. Switch controller to Windows mode
1. Select “Setup”.

2. Input password and “Enter”.


*Password “9999”

3. Select “Windows Mode”

Controller is moved by windows mode.

5. Uninstall the old version software
1. Select “Control Panel”.

2. Select “Add or Remove Programs”

3. Select “MC-980” and “remove”.

4. Close this window.

6. Install updated software
1. Prepare updated controller software.
USB flash memory is useful for this work.

2. Open “MC-980.msi” file.

3. Install new software.

Note: A Japanese message window is displayed.


Select “次へ(N)” sequentially.

completed.

7. Version confirmation
After updating software, the software version number is confirmed by “Setup”

Registered member data and measurement result data

Even if controller software is uninstalled, the database is not deleted.
