This document provides instructions for translating articles and content from a website into another language. It outlines 4 steps: 1) Translating category names and descriptions, 2) Translating individual post/article content including titles, body text, images and SEO elements, 3) Creating a menu in the translated language and linking to translated content, 4) Translating table elements. The goal is to fully localize the website content for a new target language and culture while maintaining site structure, keywords and readability.

This assignment includes the translation of articles & adding the translated elements to the website.

It is a plus if you know Wordpress, since you have to add the content to the website.

Translation of articles
You will receive a list of URL’s that need to be translated + a section of words.

An example could be https://buycryptosbank.com/buy-crypto-hsbc/

Some general rules:

 Use active language as much as possible. So HSBC monitors transactions instead of for
example HSBC is monitoring
 Use simple language: make sure the article is easy to read for the general population.
 Use the correct terms: you can use Google if you are not sure which term is used in your
country.
 Use proper grammar & structure: you do not have to translate the articles literally, only the
content has to be there. Please adjust sentences in a way that makes sense in your country.

It is essential that the article is easy and pleasant to read, adjusted to the style that fits people in
your country.

Translation steps
First you have to login with your credentials on https://buycryptosbank.com/wp-admin/

Step 1: categories
First you have to translate the requested categories. For Polish this could be how to buy bitcoin &
other crypto with a Polish bank.

Under name you translate the title of the category

Under slug you translate the URL of the category

Under administration title you put the name of the category once more

For breadcrumb title, you translate it as Polish banks <so country name + banks>

In description you translate the body of the category, change the table id number to the one
provided.

Posts per page should be set to 50.

Press add new category.

Step 2: posts
To translate the requested articles, navigate to posts within Wordpress

Use the search bar to find your post

Click on the plus that is the version of the language you are translating/adding

Press the button copy all fields from original

Make sure translation is complete is selected everywhere and press save & close.

You can now find the article back under posts and the language you just added. Press the title of the
article under Polish to start editing it.

Translate the title (this is the part on top of a post). It is very important the right keywords are used
in the title. You can use Google to see what structure competitors use. For example in English How
to buy Bitcoins of often used while in Dutch How can you buy Bitcoins. Please use a version that fits
in your country.

Also translate the URL part by pressing the edit button next to it.
The body is the main content of an article. Translate the article.

For the table code change the number to the number provided for your language:

Translate the article.

Images

For the images, for the first image you have to use the translated version of the eToro platform that
you have been provided with.
Delete the current version and press the Add Media button.

Upload the image under the new name, so the translation in this case of Buy Crypto Credit Suisse in
your language (you rename the title of the image everytime). Also fill in this name under alternative
text.

Use width 600 px for this picture and align center.

For the second picture you see a photo of a bank:

You can copy paste the URL in your browser. Save the image to your computer and rename the
image to your own language, so the title should be your language version of ‘buy Bitcoin Credit
Suisse’. Make sure you also add this under the alternative text.

For the size select the option large and center.

SEO

In the lower part you see the search engine details

SEO title: this will be displayed in the search engines, this translation is very important. Make sure to
use the correct structure & keywords in it. You can use Google to see what the competition is using.

Meta description: this is the description that will be shown in Google, also very important.
Note: the homepage also needs to be translated. This one can be found under pages. The other

instructions are 100% the same

Press update to save the article.

Step 3: menu
Navigate to the menu

Select your language

Create the menu and select main location

Add a link to Home first with translation of home in your language (which is the language page e.g.
https://buycryptosbank.com/nl/)

Add a link to the category or categories you created (translate for example Germany or Poland) and
add this category to the menu

Add links to the posts you created (the banks) with the menu item the name of the bank e.g.
Deutsche Bank.
