[1] CREATION OF COMPANY.


USING TALLY.

To create a company in Tally, you can follow these detailed steps


below:

Step 1: Launch Tally Software


Double-click on the Tally icon from your desktop to open the Tally
software.

Step 2: Access the Company Info Menu


Once Tally software is open, navigate to the "Company Info" menu. Use
the up and down arrow keys to highlight the "Create Company" option,
and press the Enter key.

Step 3: Enter Company Details


After selecting "Create Company," you will be taken to the Company
Creation screen. Here, you need to enter various details about your
company. Follow these instructions to complete the company details:
A. Company Name: Enter your company name as it appears on your
banking records.

B. Company Address: Input the address of your company.


C. Statutory Compliance: Provide any statutory compliance details
required by your business.
D. Telephone Number: Enter the contact telephone number for your
company.
E. Email: Input the email address associated with your company.

Step 4: Update Other Details


In this step, you may need to update additional company details based
on your requirements. These details may include contact information
and financial year information.

Step 5: Save the Company


Once you have entered all the necessary details, review the information
for accuracy. If everything is correct, save the company by following the
prompts or selecting the appropriate option within Tally.

Congratulations! You have successfully created a company in Tally. Now


you can utilize the software's features to record business transactions
and generate related financial reports. Remember to refer to the
official Tally documentation or user guides for specific instructions
tailored to your Tally version.

[2] ENABLE GST FEATURES


USING TALLY.

To enable GST features in Tally, you can follow the steps below:

Step 1: Open Tally Software


Launch Tally software on your computer and access the Gateway of
Tally. This is the main menu or landing page of Tally.

Step 2: Access Company Features


From the Gateway of Tally, click on "F11: Features" or press the
function key F11. This will open the Company Features options.

Step 3: Choose Statutory & Taxation


Within the Company Features options, locate and select "Statutory &
Taxation". You can navigate through the options using the arrow keys
or by directly pressing the function key F3.

Step 4: Enable GST


In the next screen, which is the Company Operation Alteration screen,
you will find various details to configure. Look for the option to enable
Goods and Services Tax (GST) and set it to "Yes". This will activate the
GST feature in Tally.

Step 5: Set/Alter GST Details


Within the same screen, you may find an option to set or alter GST
details. Choose this option and enter the necessary GST-related
information as required. This step may involve providing your GSTIN
(Goods and Services Tax Identification Number) and other relevant
details.

Step 6: Save the Changes


Once you have enabled the GST feature and entered the necessary
details, review the information for accuracy. After confirming
everything, save the changes by following the prompts or selecting the
appropriate option within Tally.

Congratulations! You have successfully enabled GST features in Tally.


With the GST feature activated, you can utilize GST-related
functionalities in ledgers, stock items, and transactions. This includes
generating GST returns and maintaining compliance with GST
regulations.

[3] LEDGER CREATION


USING TALLY.

To create a ledger in Tally, you can follow the detailed steps below:

Step 1: Access the Accounts Info


From the Gateway of Tally, navigate to "Accounts Info". This can usually
be found in the main menu or on the main screen of Tally ERP 9.

Step 2: Go to Ledger
Within the Accounts Info section, locate and select the option for
"Ledger". This will open the ledger creation screen.

Step 3: Create a New Ledger


In the ledger creation screen, select the option to create a new ledger.
This option may be labeled as "Create" or "Single Ledger".

Step 4: Fill in Ledger Details

In the ledger creation screen, you will be prompted to enter various
details for the ledger. These details may include:

- Name: Enter the name of the ledger. Make sure to use a unique name
as duplicate names are not allowed.
- Alias: Optionally, you can enter an alias for the ledger. This allows
accessing the ledger using either the original name or the alias name.
- Group Category: Select the appropriate group category for the ledger
from the list of predefined groups.
- Additional Details: Depending on your requirements, you may need to
provide additional details such as addresses, contact information, and
tax-related information. These details may vary based on your specific
business needs and Tally configuration.

Step 5: Save the Ledger


After entering the necessary details, review the information for
accuracy. Once you are satisfied, save the ledger by following the
prompts or selecting the appropriate option within Tally.

Congratulations! You have successfully created a ledger in Tally. The


ledger can now be used to record transactions and maintain the
financial information of your business.
