Collecting Data on Two Variables

Data is a collection of information gathered by observation, questioning or


measurement. Data is often organized in graphs and may include facts, numbers or
measurements.

Example:

Roxanne made a survey of the favorite rainbow colors of her classmates (17
boys and 18 girls). The table shows the tally of the collected data.
