 I. INTRODUCTION

This research is about the performance of Grade 12 Students in Non Fiction during 2nd

semester of S.Y. 2022-2023. It is constructed to analyze and provide insights into the

performance of the respondents and to suggest ways to improve their overall performance.

This includes the topic about Group Data of Quartile, Decile, and Percentile.

c. What should be the grade of the grade of the Grade 12 students to be part
of the 90th percentile group?
d. What is the percentile rank of each Grade 12 students in Non Fiction?

This table shows the Class Interval, Tally, and Frequency of the grade of the grade 12

students in Non Fiction. It is shown that out of 77 respondents 10 or 13% got a score of 77-

79, 32 or 41% got a score of 80-82, 6 or 8% got a score of 83-85, 5 or 6% got a score of 86-

88, 14 or 18% got a score of 89-91, 4 or 5% got a score of 92-94, 4 or 5% got a score of 95-

97 and 2 or 2% got a score of 98.

Table 2 shows the formula and solution of getting the Mean Class, and the value

computed is 83.6, which means that the average performance of the grade 12 students in Non

Fiction during the 2nd semester is 83.6 .

This table shows the score and the percentile rank of each students of grade 12. It

appeared that 10 students got a score of 77 or 13%, 31 students got a score of 80 or 53%, 1

student got a score of 82 or 55%,1 student got a score of 83 or 55%, 3 students got a score of

84 or 59%, 2 students got a score of 85 or 62%, 2 students got a score of 86 or 65%, 1 student

got a score of 87 or 66%, 2 students got a score of 89 or 71%, 7 students got a score of 90 or

80%, 5 students got a score of 91 or 81%, 1 student got a score of 92 or 88%, 1 student got a

score of 93 or 90%, 2 students got a score of 94 or 89%, 3 students got a score of 95 or 96%,

1 student got a score of 97 or 97%, and lastly 2 students got the highest score which is 98 or

100% among the 77 total of the respondents.

 IV. ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION

A. PERFORMANCE OF THE GRADE 12 STUDENTS OF GEANHS IN NON

FICTION DURING 2ND SEMESTER S.Y. 2022-2023.

a. The average performance of the grade 12 students in Non Fiction during the

2nd semester is 83.6.

b. If the passing score belongs to the 3 rd quartile which is 80.24, out of the 77

students 67 students passed the Non Fiction and 10 students didn’t passed.

c. The grade of the grade 12 students should have a grade of 93 or higher in

order for them to be part of the 90th percentile.

d. Out of the 77 grade 12 students, there is a higher percentage of students

who passed the Non Fiction if the passing score belongs to the 3 rd quartile

which is 80.24. There are 67 or 52% respondents who passed or got a score of

80.24 or higher.

 V. CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

Conclusion
Based on the result, it was affirmed that the performance of Grade 12 Students in

Non Fiction got a high percent of mastery on their performance for the 2 nd semester in Non

Fiction, because many of them got the passing score in 3rd quartile and belong to the 90th

Percentile.

Recommendation
Many of the grade 12 students passed, but some didn’t. It is okay to fail sometimes

because it is a part of growing. Keep track of deadlines, assignments, and exams. Improving

overall performance is a gradual process, so be patient and persistent. Celebrate small

victories along the way and maintain a positive mindset.
