IV. DATA ANALYSIS & IINTERPRETATION

A. THE PERFORMANCE OF GRADE 12 STUDENTS IN

PHYSICAL SCIENCE DURING 1ST SEMESTER

a. The performance of the Grade 12 students Physical Science during the 1 st semester is

86.7.

b. If the passing score is belong to the third quartile which is 89.1 out of 78 respondents,

there are 35 or 44% of Grade 12 students who passed in Physical Science during the

1st Semester.

c. To be part of the 90th percentile, the grade 12 students should have the grade of 87.6

and higher in order for them to be part of the 90th percentile.

d. Out of 78 respondents, there are a higher percentage of students who failed than

passed if the passing score belong to the third quartile. There are 43 or 55% of the

respondents have failed and got a lower score than 89.1.

V.CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS

CONCLUSION

Based on the result, the performance of Grade 12 Students in Physical Science got a lower

percent of mastery on their performance for the 1st semester, because there are such students

who did not get the passing score. Respondents should get 89.1 above to passed in Physical

Science if the passing score belongs to the Third Quartile and if the passing score belongs to

the 90th Percentile, respondents should get the 87.6 above to be part of 90th percentile.

RECOMMENDATION

Some of the grade 12 students did not passed in Physical Science and at times of failure,

it is important to take responsibility and commit to a plan to change. Whether your grades

dropped, you’re failing a class, or simply you are not achieving your target, it is never too late

or too early to apply certain changes to your studying habits. Now one of the most important

strategies to improve academic performance is to pay good attention in class. Often students

zone out during class, students must work on their concentration skills and try to pay as much

1
attention as they can in class. They must ask questions in case of doubts to make sure the topic

is clear in their head as it is much easier to ask a teacher to explain something different than it

is to trawl through books trying to find a clearer explanation for yourself.
