1. Perform the following operations in binary number system


(a) 3 - (1/16)
(b) 22.5 x 4.75
(c) 2.5 / 0.5
2. Complement the following expression
(a) XY+X’Y’(YZ’+X’Y’)
(b) AB(C’D+B’C)
3. a. Convert the following expression to sum-of-products form
(A+C)(AB’+AC)(A’C’+B’)
b. Convert the expressions to product-of-sums form:
ABC’+AB’C+A’BC
4. Using the k-maps; simplify the following expressions in four variables,
(a) F(A,B,C)=(A+B+C)((A+B’+C)(A’+B+C)(A’+B’+C)
(b) F(A,B,C,D)=∑m(2,4,5,7,11,13)+d(1,8,14)
5. Identify the circuit given in Fig.2, and write its truth table.

6. Obtain the Boolean expression of the given circuit in Fig.1. Draw the logic
circuit for the simplified expression using Boolean laws.

7. The home security system is developed to open the main door with 4
security keys namely doorbell, SMS alert & confirmation, Camera alert &
confirmation and push button (for opening the door). The door opens only
when the doorbell pressed and any one of the other security keys are
operated together.
 Obtain the Truth table and Boolean expression.
 Implement the expression using 2 X 1, 4X1, 8X1 MUX.
8. Consider the multiplexer logic circuit shown in the Fig.3. Find the Boolean
function of the realized circuit.

9. Two coils are mutually coupled, with L1 =25mH, L2 =60mH, and k = 0.5.
Calculate the maximum possible equivalent value of inductance if:
(a) The two coils are connected in series
(b) The coils are connected in parallel
10.Determine the voltage V0 in the circuit
