Piglet Anaemia

Piglet anaemia is a condition that occurs in piglets within 2-4 weeks of birth making them susceptible to disease. It is caused by a lack of iron in sow's milk and can be treated with oral iron supplementation, ferrous sulfate pasted on the sow's udder, or iron dextran injections. Prevention involves access to soil, avoiding solid concrete floors, and proper newborn care and management.
