2nd Annual Golf Tournament - 2022 Athlete Volunteer Information

General guidelines for all volunteers:

• Please arrive by on time based on the schedule on your assigned time slot.
o Keyano College Athletes August 26, 2022: 8:00am to 12:00pm OR 11:00
am to 7:00 pm
o Please discuss with your Coach regarding your scheduled shift

• Please carpool if possible. The tournament players will fill up the course so we
would like to keep our parking impact to a minimum.

• Upon arrival at the golf course, all volunteers must check in at the Volunteer
Registration area. The Welcome Table can provide you with information on
where the volunteer area is, a map will also be provided during the volunteer
prep meeting Tuesday August 23, from 4:30pm – 6:30pm. Meeting invite to
follow.

• Volunteer shirts will be provided. The shirts are available to pick up during the
volunteer prep meeting, you can pick up your shirt on the day of the event in the
volunteer area at clubhouse. Please wear this shirt for the tournament.

• For your volunteer shift, you can wear bottoms of your choice, but please adhere
to course dress code for the event and avoid wearing the following:
o Denim with holes or in poor condition
o Strapless or shoes with heels of any kind (comfortable footwear is
recommended)
o Muscle shirts – men
o Board shorts / swim trunks
o Shorts with less than 4″ inseam

• While you volunteer at the 2022 2nd Annual Golf Tournament, you are
representing Keyano College – please conduct yourself in a professional manner
o Please be kind and courteous to all guests and assist them to the best of
your ability
o No drinking alcohol, please
o No swearing, please

• If you are unable to answer a question or provide a guest with what they need
please direct them to one of the Golf Committee members:

• Safety: The golf committee will require a cell number for each person on the
course. This will let us easily communicate with them (or vice versa) if any
problems arise. In addition, we will make periodic visits to check on volunteers.
o Be aware of your surroundings, including golf balls, swinging clubs,
wildlife, and lightening.
o If you hear “fore” called, the international word of warning in golf, know
that an errant golf ball might be heading your way, and you need to take
cover.
o Protect yourself from the sun and remain hydrated.

• HAVE FUN!!! This is a great opportunity to showcase the College and the Keyano
Huskies. We are excited to have you participate as part of the volunteer team.

All volunteers with be provided with:

• Bug Spray and Sunscreen (this is only available at the Volunteer Check In)
• Water
• Snacks
• Lunch
• Chairs at your assigned hole
• All items required to successfully facilitate the activity on your assigned hole

Volunteers should bring:

• Umbrella (There is a chance it will be raining on Friday)


• Raincoat
• Appropriate clothing for weather
• Blankets or extra sweaters
• A cooler if you have any preferred drinks or food (Optional. We are going to
be supplying drinks, snacks, and food during the day)
