• Connections between terminal and antenna via short flex waveguide (~1m)
• Diversity combining carried out in 4500A
• XPIC cancellation done inside of the WTM 4500 as it is today
• Second WTM 4500 used in receive only mode. Crossed IF signals are for the diversity receivers only
21 AVIAT NETWORKS
WTM 4000 EQUIPMENT POWER SUPPLY
• Using POE (Power over Ethernet)
• Max cable length: 100m
• Using an external POE
• 100 to 240 VAC PoE Injector
• 36 to 72 VDC PoE Injector
• Using a POE card from a Switch / Router
• Note, the jumper must be inserted for PoE to work
22 AVIAT NETWORKS
WTM 4000 LICENSING
• Within WTM 4000, software-based license keys are used to enable groupings of Carrier
Ethernet features, specific radio features and switch capacity.
• No pluggable media device to hold licenses (like the flash card on CTR)
• Licenses are keyed directly to the WTM serial number
• As standard, license keys are not downloaded onto the product prior to shipment
• At power-on, ALL licensed features are enabled for customer use, for a period of 60 days.
• After 60-days, the terminal will revert to those features that have license keys loaded.
• If the terminal is powered off, the 60-day “countdown” will be paused during that non-
operational period.

With CLI: WTM4100# config
• Before changes can take effect, you MUST perform WTM4100(config)# interface Vlan1
WTM4100(config-interface-Vlan1)# no ipv4 address
a “commit” operation. WTM4100(config-interface-Vlan1)# ipv4 address 192.156.1.25

SWITCHING & ROUTING (L1-LINK AGGREGATION 1/5)
• Link Aggregation (L1LA)
First begin by creating a VLAN for the L1LA configuration on both WTM1. In the example below, VLAN
300 is used for L1LA.
99 AVIAT NETWORKS
SWITCHING & ROUTING (L1-LINK AGGREGATION 1/5)
• Link Aggregation (L1LA)
L1LA on the WTM is achieved using the Master – Slave model.
WTM1 will be configured as Master while WTM2 will configured as Slave.
